    Procurement Assistant

    Job Summary

    This person will be part of a highly dynamic team responsible for performing administrative duties relating to organizing and coordinating procurement activities, review ard distribution of information

    • Safety
      • Complying with Company health and safety regulations among the other regulatory requirements.
    • Operational
      • Review day to day purchase requisitions in order to verify requirements, accuracy and completeness
      • Trade status of requisitions, contracts & orders
      • Maintain OTIF deliveries
      • Obtain price quotes from suppliers.
      • Contact supplier in otder to schedule or expedite deliveries.
      • Prepare, maintain & review purchasing files, reports and price lists
      • Preparation of procurement documentation requirements-EOls, RFPs, RFQs and LPOs:
    • Perform relted work as required.

    Essential Criteria

    • Atleast Diplom in Purchasing and supplies from a recognized institution
    • CIPS Qualification added advantage
    • Membership of KISM or related professional Body added advantage
    • Experience of one year in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Environment desirable
    • Must be proficient in the use of MS Office and purchasing software
    • Good negotiation, analytical, presentation and communication skills.
    • Ability to communicate information in a dear, well organized and professional manner
    • Able to work independently  and should be strong critical thinker
    • Able to uphold and respect procurement ethics and to conduct activities with integrity
    • Must be flexible
    • Strong understanding of supply chain and warehousing processes: through planning, category management, procurement, logistics and delivery monitoring and evaluation.
