Position Purpose
- The Product & Business Analyst will support the Product, Business Intelligence & Innovation Manager in analysing business needs, documenting business and functional requirements, improving business processes, supporting software development, coordinating user acceptance testing, leading user training and product adoption, and generating business intelligence to support strategic decision-making.
- The position serves as the primary link between business users, customers, product management, software developers, quality assurance teams, and implementation teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
The successful candidate will:
- Gather, analyse and validate business requirements from users and stakeholders.
- Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops and business process mapping sessions.
- Prepare Business Requirements Documents (BRDs).
- Develop Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS).
- Prepare user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Analyse existing business processes and recommend digital solutions.
- Document functional and non-functional requirements.
- Maintain product documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
Product Development Support
The successful candidate will:
- Support product planning and roadmap implementation.
- Assist in prioritizing product enhancements and feature requests.
- Support backlog management and sprint planning activities.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Validate completed product features against approved business requirements.
- Monitor implementation of approved product enhancements.
- Support product launches and release management activities.
Business Readiness, Training & Product Adoption
The successful candidate will play a leading role in ensuring successful implementation and adoption of digital products by internal and external users.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop user manuals, training guides, quick reference materials and standard operating procedures.
- Design and deliver user onboarding programmes.
- Conduct user training workshops, demonstrations and system orientation sessions.
- Train users on both system functionality and the underlying business processes and operating model.
- Develop product implementation and rollout plans.
- Assess user competency and identify additional training requirements.
- Monitor product adoption and utilization across different user groups.
- Promote best practices and encourage effective use of digital products.
- Gather user feedback and recommend product improvements to enhance user experience and business value.
Change Management & User Support
The successful candidate will:
- Support organizational change management during product implementation.
- Prepare communication materials explaining new product features and business process changes.
- Coordinate user readiness and product launch activities.
- Provide second-level functional support to users.
- Escalate technical issues to the Technology Team where necessary.
- Monitor recurring user issues and recommend permanent solutions.
- Maintain Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), user guides and knowledge repositories.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives based on user feedback and operational experience.
Business Intelligence & Reporting
The successful candidate will:
- Analyse operational, commercial and product performance data.
- Develop reports, dashboards and performance summaries.
- Monitor product usage, customer adoption and user behaviour.
- Support executive reporting and strategic decision-making.
- Generate business intelligence and analytical insights to support continuous improvement.
- Track product performance against agreed business objectives.
Process Improvement & Innovation
The successful candidate will:
- Identify opportunities for business process improvement and automation.
- Recommend product enhancements based on customer feedback and market needs.
- Support innovation initiatives and digital transformation projects.
- Participate in pilot projects and proof-of-concept initiatives.
- Promote continuous improvement across products and business processes.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science or another relevant discipline.
- Professional certification in Business Analysis, Product Management, Agile, Scrum, Project Management or Data Analytics will be an added advantage.
Experience
Applicants should demonstrate:
- A minimum of three (3) years' relevant experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Product Support, Software Implementation, Digital Transformation or a related field.
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
- Experience working with software development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Experience conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Experience developing user documentation and training materials.
- Experience facilitating user training, product implementation and change management.
- Experience supporting enterprise software products or digital platforms.
