    Programs Officer

    • The Programs Officer will play a crucial role in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs within the organization. This position requires a deep understanding of SGBV issues, strong program management skills, and the ability to coordinate with various stakeholders. The Programs Officer will also be responsible for reporting on program activities and ensuring the effective supervision of program staff.

    Key Responsibilities

    Program Development and Planning:

    • Develop and implement strategic plans for the programs.
    • Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in SGBV intervention.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders for coordinated program implementation.

    Program Implementation:

    • Oversee daily implementation of the programs.
    • Monitor activities to assess impact and make necessary adjustments.
    • Support and guide program staff, volunteers, and partners.
    • Coordinate with service providers and community focal points.
    • Raise awareness on gender inequality and SGBV prevention.
    • Provide support and information to survivors.

    Reporting and Documentation:

    • Develop and maintain a monitoring and evaluation framework.
    • Document service provision, ensuring data protection and confidentiality.
    • Prepare regular progress reports for donors and stakeholders.
    • Ensure accurate data entry into the information management system (IMS).
    • Create and disseminate content to raise awareness on gender violence.

    Supervision and Capacity Building:

    • Lead and supervise program staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
    • Oversee GBV case management services, ensuring alignment with guidelines.
    • Organize case management meetings and training sessions for staff.

    Advocacy and Networking:

    • Represent the organization in forums and networks related to SGBV.
    • Advocate for policy changes and awareness initiatives.
    • Collaborate with various stakeholders for program development.

    Support fundraising strategies and cultivate relationships with donors.

    Budgeting:

    • Develop and manage program budgets.
    • Monitor expenditures and collaborate with the finance team for compliance.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in social work, gender studies, community development or related field.
    • 35 years of experience in SGBV programs or related fields.
    • Experience in program design, implementation, and monitoring.
    • Strong understanding of SGBV concepts and guidelines.
    • Ability to provide psychological first aid and basic counseling.
    • Experience in training and capacitybuilding activities.
    • Proficiency in monitoring and evaluation techniques.
    • Knowledge of legal frameworks and ethical considerations in SGBV work.
    • Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in using program management and data analysis software.

    Performance Standards:

    • Quality, timely narrative reports on project progress and impact.
    • Documentation of good practices and lessons learned.
    • Adherence to workplans, timelines, and deadlines.
    • Costeffective use of project funds.
    • Commitment to CDTD values and principles.
    • Adherence to safeguarding and child protection guidelines.
