    Project Officer, Mama Siri

    Responsibilities:
    Project Implementation:

    • Plan, coordinate, and implement the Mama Siri project in accordance with organizationalgoals and donor requirements.
    • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community partners, to ensure effective project delivery.

    Needs Assessment:

    • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to identify gaps and challenges related to sexual reproductive health rights among women and girls with disabilities.
    • Analyze data and provide recommendations for the Mama Siri project interventions based on the identified needs.

    Capacity Building:

    • Develop and implement capacity-building initiatives for Mama Siri responders, community members, healthcare professionals, and local organizations on sexual reproductive health rights of women and girls with disabilities
    • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and awareness campaigns.

    Monitoring and Evaluation:

    • Establish and maintain a robust monitoring and evaluation system to track Mama Siri project progress and impact.
    • Prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.

    Advocacy and Networking:

    • Engage in advocacy efforts to promote sexual reproductive health rights and address gender based violence at the local, regional, and national levels.
    • Build and maintain partnerships with relevant organizations and participate in networks and coalitions working on similar issues.

    Documentation and Reporting:

    • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of Mama Siri project activities, including success stories, case studies, and best practices.
    • Prepare and submit Mama Siri project reports to the supervisor and donors as per the reporting schedule.

    Resource Mobilization:

    • Support the development of Mama Siri project proposals and fundraising activities to secure funding to deepen the impact of the Mama Siri project.
    • Collaborate with the members of the team to diversify funding sources.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g. Public Health, Social Sciences, Gender, International Development and or relevant field)
    • Proven experience in project management, preferably in the field of sexual reproductive health rights and research
    • Previous experience in Disability Rights and Inclusion, and working with women with disabilities
    • Knowledge of the local Kenyan Context
    • Strong understanding of sexual reproductive health rights issues and related policies.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools
