Quality Assurance Officer at Highlands Drinks Limited

• The goal is to ensure that the final product is produced in a safe and hygienic environment so as to meet and exceed the consumers' expectations.
• Reporting to Quality Assurance Team Lead

Duties & Responsibility

• Inline process inspections during production at set time intervals to ensure final product conformity to set standards.
• Document quality assurance activities with intemal reporting to the departmental head.
• Ensuring that final syrup meets set company standards and releasing it at the right time.
• Taking necessary acceptable corrective actions that includes stopping any process deviating from set standards.
• Ensure that processing/packaging equipment or vessels are clean and sanitized.
• Ensuring that proper housekeeping is maintained in the production area.
• Ensuring water treatment system are effectively working by carrying out necessary and timely water analysis tests against set standards.
• Participate in product sensory evaluation to ensure product conformity to organoleptic standards.
• Ensuring that all non-conformities are isolated and the necessary action taken with proper documentation and communication. Carry out a routine inspection on production linestaff on matters of personal hygiene.
• Ensuring that environmental safety policies are followed.
• Ensuring lab equipment and apparatus are kept in a goodworking condition
• Be able to carry out microbiological analysis of incoming materials, processed products and finished goods effectively.
• Maintain good lab hygiene in the microbiology lab at all times.
• Take part in Monthly Quality continuous improvement meetings.
• Any other assigned duty.

Work Location & Requirements

• The Job Position will require one to be based at our HQ offices in Nyeri County

Professional Experience

• Minimum three (3) progressive experience in a Manufacturing/ RMCG environment in Kenya (or East Africa) in similar role within the respective zone
• Preferably have led a commercial team with at least 6 people
• Excellent communication, customer service management, and data analytical skills
