Quality Manager at Roam Electric

About the role:

The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that the electric motorcycle assembly factory is producing high-quality motorcycles that meet customer expectations, industry standards, and legal requirements. The Quality Manager will lead a team of quality control personnel to monitor production processes, identify and address quality issues, and implement quality improvement initiatives.

Key Duties and responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures to ensure consistent product quality.
• Conduct regular quality audits to monitor production processes, identify quality issues, and ensure compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.
• Lead investigations of quality issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to drive continuous improvement and achieve manufacturing excellence.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure quality standards are integrated throughout the manufacturing and assembly process, from design and development to assembly and delivery.
• Provide regular reports on quality performance to senior management, including trend analysis and recommendations for improvement.
• Manage and develop a team of quality control personnel, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to ensure they have the skills and knowledge necessary to meet quality objectives.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards and address any quality issues that arise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality control systems and procedures, including ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards.
• Experience leading quality audits and investigations, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and achieving quality objectives.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and collaborate with other departments and suppliers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address quality issues using data and root cause analysis.
• Experience in the automotive or electric vehicle industry is a plus.
