    Raw Material Procurement & Supply Coordinator – Avocados

    Key Responsibilities

    • Establish seasonal avocado volume requirements in liaison with Directors and senior management.
    • Plan and coordinate raw material sourcing, harvesting and delivery scheduling to the packhouse.
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with farmers, orchards, producer groups and brokers in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and other East African regions.
    • Develop and maintain accurate supplier maps and databases.
    • Play a leading role in packhouse production planning and fruit allocation.
    • Maintain accurate raw material records and coordinate procurement logistics.
    • Manage rejects, local sales and fruit waste management.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, Agribusiness or related field.
    • Strong Diploma holders with solid field experience will be considered.
    • Short courses in fresh produce quality management or procurement are an added advantage.
    • Exposure to GlobalG.A.P., Organic or Fairtrade standards and HACCP awareness is desirable

    Work Experience

    • 2–5 years’ hands-on experience in fresh produce sourcing or procurement.
    • Experience working with smallholder farmers, orchards and brokers.
    • Practical exposure to harvesting, grading, packhouse deliveries and management of rejects.
