    Risk, ESG and Impact Analyst

    We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Risk, ESG and Impact Analyst. In this role, you will play an important role to ensure accurate and reliability portfolio data related to financial, operations, ESG and impact, and assisting in the implementation of risk, ESG and impact strategies across our investment portfolio. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful change by providing valuable insights that drive sustainable investment decisions. The position is located preferably in Bogotá, Colombia or Nairobi, Kenya on permanent basis. You will be reporting to the Risk, ESG and Impact Manager.

    Your tasks

    Your meticulous attention to detail and analytical skills will ensure the accuracy and reliability of data used to assess the credit risk and sustainability performance of our investment portfolio. You will be responsible for:

    • Data collection: Gather data from various internal and external sources, including our internal investee reporting portal, portfolio management databases, and third-party providers, related to financial, operational, ESG and impact metrics. Coordinate with stakeholders across the organization to identify data requirements and ensure timely and complete submission of data.
    • Data Cleaning and Standardization: Clean and standardize raw data to ensure consistency and accuracy. Conduct quality checks to identify and rectify data anomalies, errors, and inconsistencies.
    • Data Verification and Validation: Verify the accuracy and reliability of data through independent research and cross-referencing with multiple sources. Validate data against established benchmarks, standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Data Analysis: Assist in analysing risk, ESG and impact data to identify risks, trends, patterns, and correlations. Prepare summary reports and visualizations to communicate key findings effectively.
    • Reporting Support: Assist in the preparation of regular reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and investors, providing insights into ESG performance and impact metrics. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of data inputs for reporting purposes.
    • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance data collection processes, tools, and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy, including the creating of Power BI reports. Stay abreast of emerging trends, methodologies, and best practices in ESG data management and analysis.

    Your profile

    • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, ESG, sustainability, impact investment or related fields, combined with a relevant university degree.
    • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools such as Microsoft Excel. Power BI experience is a plus.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain data integrity and accuracy.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
    • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Passion for sustainability and social responsibility, with a desire to make a positive impact through data-driven insights.
    • Fluent English is mandatory. For candidates located in Colombia, fluent English and Spanish required.
