    School Nurse

    Overall purpose of the job: 

    Reporting to the Head Emergency Rescue Services, the incumbent will be responsible for provision of quality  nursing care. 

    Key responsibilities: 

    •  To provide first aid care and health assessment 
    •  To facilitate management of students with chronic or acute health conditions  
    •  To administer medications to the students 
    •  To educate and train school community on general health wellbeing  
    •  To perform appropriate clinical nursing procedures 

    Position requirements: 

    •  Diploma in Nursing 
    •  Must have a valid registration certificate from the Nursing council 
    •  At least 2 years experience as a practicing nurse 
    •  Previous experience as a school nurse will be an added advantage 
    •  Technical expertise in nursing procedures 
    •  ICT competency 
    •  Excellent communication and customer skills
