Job Description

The Security Driver will provide safe, reliable, and efficient transportation for security personnel, management, and security operations while ensuring company vehicles are properly maintained and available for emergency response, patrols, investigations, and surveillance activities.

Education

• Form Four Certificate (KCSE D+ Plus and above)
• Holder of a Valid Driving Licence

Experience

• Minimum six years relevant experience
• Paramilitary experience will be an added advantage

Skills

• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communication
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Must work with minimum supervision

Job Requirements

Responsibilities &   Accountabilities

• Safely operate company security vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and company policies
• Transport security personnel, management, and contractors as assigned
• Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies requiring transportation support
• Support day and night security patrols across all assigned locations
• Assist security teams during incident response, investigations, and special operations
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding security operations and sensitive information
• Report suspicious activities, security breaches, or safety concerns observed during patrols and travel
• Support evacuation procedures and emergency response activities when required
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and complete pre-start safety checks
• Ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and adequately fueled at all times
• Monitor vehicle service schedules and report mechanical defects promptly
• Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, mileage records, and fuel consumption records
• Keep records of trips, incidents, and vehicle usage
• Submit daily, weekly, or monthly vehicle reports as required
• Ensure all vehicle documents, licences, insurance, and permits remain valid and available
• Adhere to company safety standards and traffic regulations
• Ensure safe transportation of personnel and equipment
• Comply with all security, health, environmental, and company policies

The Security Driver shall be accountable for:

• Zero preventable vehicle accidents
• Timely and safe transportation of security personnel and assets
• Accuracy and completeness of vehicle records and reports
• Compliance with company security and safety procedures
• Proper care and maintenance of assigned vehicles
• Effective support during security operations and emergencies
• Protection of company assets and confidential information
