Senior Accountant at Keitt Exporters Limited

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, supplier payments, customer accounts, and outstanding balances.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and variance reporting.
• Prepare and review statutory and tax-related accounting information.
• Maintain proper financial controls, documentation, approvals, and supporting records.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders where required.
• Monitor operational, production, and export-related costs and provide relevant financial analysis to management.
• Coordinate accounting and reporting matters relating to Avo Africa Tanzania operations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
• Provide timely financial information and analysis to support management decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

• 4–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a Senior Accountant or equivalent position.
• CPA qualification and/or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, taxation, reconciliations, statutory compliance, and internal controls.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting/ERP systems.
• Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, maintain accuracy, and meet reporting deadlines.

Added Advantage

• Preference will be given to candidates with:
• Previous experience working for a Tanzanian company or handling Tanzanian operations/accounts.
• Knowledge of Tanzanian taxation, statutory requirements, and financial reporting.
• Experience in avocado, fresh produce, agricultural exports, food processing, crude avocado oil, or a related sector.
• Experience with export accounting, inventory, costing, or cross-border operations.

Compensation & Benefits

• Gross Salary: KES 100,000–110,000 per month
• Airtime Allowance: Provided
• Lunch: Provided at the facility
