Senior Accountant – Manufacturing at Corporate Staffing

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Finance department including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, payroll and utilities, budgeting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, and capital assets reconciliations.
• Manage all accounting transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulations.
• Prepare budget forecasts and monitor financial performance against budgets.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closings with accurate and timely reporting.
• Ensure timely bank payments and manage payroll processing for the manufacturing staff.
• Compute taxes owed, prepare tax returns, and ensure prompt payment and reporting.
• Perform cost accounting tasks; including variance analysis and cost of goods sold calculations.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, perform margin analysis, and recommend strategies to reduce costs and improve profitability.
• Maintain internal financial controls and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial reports.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax agents for annual audits and compliance matters.
• Support management with financial analysis and guidance on profitability, cost reduction, and financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
• Oversee accounts receivable and payable, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
• Manage inventory accounting, ensuring accurate valuation and cost analysis.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA K.
• Over 5 years’ experience as an Accountant, ideally within a manufacturing setting.
• Experience managing a team is a Must.
• Experience with accounting software (SAGE Evolution or Pastel).
• Import and Export Costing Accounts.
• Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
