Senior Applications Engineer at Tatu City Limited

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Senior Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications for our products. You will work closely with all departments to understand their needs and provide technical support. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve existing products and create new ones as required.

Key functions include:

• Application Development: Design, develop, and test software applications for our products, ensuring they meet high-quality standards and performance requirements.
• Organization Interaction: Work closely with all departments to understand their application requirements, provide technical support, and assist in resolving any issues they encounter.
• Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and other team members, helping them with problem-solving and ensuring the successful development and deployment of applications.
• Product Enhancement: Collaborate with the product development team to enhance existing products and create new ones based on customer feedback and market trends.
• Quality Assurance: Perform thorough testing and debugging of applications to identify and fix any defects or issues.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for applications, making it accessible for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure that our applications are built using the latest best practices.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product management teams to align product offerings with customer needs and market demands.
• Support end users on day-to-day ICT support-related issues (System access, Network access, Video conferencing, etc).

REQUIREMENTS

Hard skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree may be preferred.
• Proven experience as an Applications Engineer or in a related role, with a track record of successful application development.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as AL, Java, C++, Xamarin, C #, or others relevant to the industry.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with relevant software tools and development environments (Web-based and mobile applications)
