    Senior Business Manager-Events

    Job REF No. HRD/SBME/02/2024.

    Royal Media Services Limited wishes to recruit a suitably qualified person for the Senior Business Manager-Events to oversee the strategy and execution of a portfolio of our most critical customer-facing and strategic events. The jobholder will be expected to collaborate and co-create experiences within the Commercial team, and with teams in other business units, lead large project teams, and help develop, commercialize and manage a rigorous event planning process that enables seamless execution of our event portfolio.

    The Senior Experiential Events Manager’s role will include:

    • Foster a planning environment that enables rich co-creation and iteration on great project and event ideas to optimize revenue generation, RMS brand leadership, and market share.
    • Develop concept plan, strategies and overall plan, managing the creative process from concept to completion.
    • Translate the client’s vision or objectives into clear creative strategies and deliverable products.
    • Oversee client pitches and proposals for commercial projects and events.
    • To develop functional strategies aimed at improving sales from events, experiences and road shows.
    • Lead cross-functional and collaborative project teams to create and drive inspired E2E experiences including concept, vision, visual design, event tech, video content, and related logistics, working in alignment with RMS strategy, design, and content leads.
    • Drive all cross-functional project workstreams to successful execution, track cross-functional deliverables, and escalate when necessary.
    • Develop and manage work back plan and cross-functional timelines, detailed project plans, and workstream requirements; act as the source of truth for all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Drive commercially-relevant projects and events with innovative features and unique concepts, and a high business impact
    • Champion excellent delivery of company-wide internal and external activations to grow the brand both within the organization and without.
    • Communicating, maintaining and developing client relationships including customer service strategies and policies.
    • Effectively manage resources to deliver against competing projects, while identifying and solving resourcing risks.
    • Provide regular updates to the Group’s management on progress of the events business unit

    Qualifications, Experience and Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Experiential Marketing, Commerce, Communication, or any related social science from a recognized institution.
    • At least 5 years’ experience in managing and executing brand experiences/events
    • Demonstrable ability to handle scale and niche events.
    • Good appreciation of the role of media – both legacy and digital in expanding events impact.
    • Demonstrable solid understanding of commercial projects.
    • Proven ability to strategically manage, plan and execute events;
    • Proven, excellent communications skills, including written and presentation skills;
    • Demonstrated strategic thinking and project management skills to organize and coordinate with different cross-functional stakeholders;
    • Commercial and strong analytical mind-set and results-driven;
    • Ability to build and sustain good working relationships with multiple stakeholders including colleagues, clients, vendors and contractors.
    • Ability to handle, prioritize, multiple projects simultaneously;
    • Business acumen with good leadership and interpersonal skills.
    • An “eye” for brand building using events.
