About The Role

The Field Manager role is appropriate for hard-working professionals who are good at managing teams to implement projects in the field, and who have a sincere commitment to serving farmers with integrity and positivity.

Senior Field Managers are based in the field to manage small rural field offices, and spend most of their time collaborating with the local administration officials, managing Field Managers in their field activities by providing training, coaching and mentoring teammates, leading brainstorming of challenges and solutions, answering questions, reporting on progress, and ensuring work is being carried out to a high quality.

What You will Do

• Address the FEN professional and personal issues and share the same with the relevant departments for their support, positive implementation & feedback.
• Monitor performance with frequent follow-up, using measurable criteria.
• Give staff regular advice & coaching to improve their performance.
• Train, coach and mentor your direct reports to develop their skills, knowledge and intuition to succeed in their roles and longer-term careers.
• Oversee data collection via appropriate data collection tools. Ensure data integrity. Analyze data to make recommendations.
• Use data to inform decisions and actions relating to field operations and team strategies.
• Acts as the focal point between the FOC and the Field Managers.
• Leads in collaboration projects with other departments.

Feedback on Program Design

• Assists in making key decisions on designed programs for their teams
• Provide feedback from the field to the design team to assist in decision making and ensure that all materials are ‘field ready’

Training-of-Trainers

• Train Field Managers , Field Officers and Facilitators in all required technical and behavioral job elements in order to successfully enroll, serve farmers and plant & maintain trees.
• Provide both onboarding training for new staff, annual refreshers for all staff, and just-in-time training throughout planting season.
• Coordination With The Director/Coordinator Of Operations And Other Departments
• Report regularly to the Regional Ops Manager & Coordinator on the status of all field staff, projects and planting activities.
• Maintain close communication with other head office staff on all matters regarding our field-based work in their project area.

What You have

• Bachelor’s Degree in related fields required
• At least two years’ experience in managing field operations.
• Experience in community mobilization & engagement
• Proven ability in team management & delivery
• Ability to ride a motorbike is an added advantage - the role requires you to ride a motorbike
