    Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology is situated in Juja, 36 kilometres North East of Nairobi, along Nairobi-Thika Highway. It was started in 1981 as a Middle Level College (Jomo Kenyatta College of Agriculture and Technology (JKCAT)) by the Government of Kenya with the generous assistance from the Japanese Government.     Senior Lecturer/ Senior Research Fellow

    All applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

    • An earned PhD in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized university
    • At least five (5) years teaching experience at the university level as a Lecturer / Research Fellowor six (6) years research /industry experience
    • Successfully supervised to completion at least four (4) Masters’ students and one (1) PhD student since last promotion
    • Published at least three (3) papers in peer referred journals or three (3) chapters in a university level book or one (1) book since last promotion
    • Registered /Certified with the relevant professional body (where applicable) 

    OR

    • Masters’ degree in Engineering, Law, Medicine and Architecture in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized university
    • At least eight (8) years teaching experience at the University level as Lecturer / Research Fellow or ten (10) years research / industry experience
    • Mentored at least two (2) graduates to professional registration as practicing professionals since appointment as Lecturer / Research Fellow
    • Registered / certified with the relevant professional body
