Senior Product Designer at Roam Electric

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Product Designer to join our team who will play a key role in shaping our brand identity and product design. As a product designer at Roam, you will be in charge of the entire product cycle. From conceptualization to the finished product to branding and marketing of the product. Hence we are looking for a designer who can handle several projects simultaneously and seamlessly switch between hardware design and graphic design. Your exceptional skills in the Adobe Suite will be crucial in creating engaging marketing materials, captivating user interfaces, and aesthetically pleasing product designs. Proficiency in 3D modeling and sketching will be considered a significant advantage as you'll have the opportunity to generate and execute concepts for Roam’s vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

User-Centered Design & Audience Research

• Understand the target audience and design user-centered products that align with their needs and preferences.
• Develop and enhance user interfaces (UI) and user experiences (UX) for products, ensuring intuitive and engaging interactions.

Graphic & Visual Design

• Create and execute visually appealing designs for marketing campaigns, including:
  Digital and print materials; brochures, posters, social media graphics, and website assets.
• Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all visual assets.

3D Design & Innovation

• Utilize 3D modeling expertise to contribute unique design perspectives and innovative solutions to projects.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design techniques, and software advancements, bringing fresh ideas to the team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with marketing, product development, and engineering teams to understand project requirements and design objectives.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and design reviews, actively contributing to the creative process.

Skills & Experience

• 5 years of proven experience as a Product Designer or a similar role, demonstrating a strong portfolio of successful design projects.
• A keen eye for design language and attention to detail.
• Excellent proficiency in the Adobe Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Experience with 3D modeling and rendering using Blender, Solidworks, or Rhinoceros (experience in other 3D software will also be considered).
• Good sketching skills. Being able to visualize and present a concept on paper.
• Solution-oriented and the ability to create user-centered designs.
• Exceptional creativity, combined with the ability to effectively communicate design concepts and ideas.
• Strong time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with designing physical products.
• Experience in Figma
