Site Health & Safety Officer at Session Blue Contractors

Job Summary

• The Site Health & Safety Officer will be required to facilitate compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines and advise on minimizing hazards or unhealthy situations in the upcoming projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Safety tasks
• Housekeeping/record keeping on site
• Report writing
• Provision of PPES and accounting for their usage
• Ensuring proper use of PPEs by workers while conducting monitoring on compliance.
• Raising daily concerns from issues on-site that may pose potential hazards.
• Maintaining records of safety inventories
• Eliminating physical hazards through the maintenance of good housekeeping.
• Responsible for keeping a daily record of workers/employees on site on a daily basis.
• Write daily, weekly safety and health reports or injury logs and submit them to the Health and Safety officer.
• Daily reporting of site compliance, incidents, and accidents reporting.

Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in occupational health & safety or related field
• Basic training in either First Aid, Fire Safety will be an added advantage
• Proven/prior competency in handling safety/health aspects in a construction site.
• Good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
• NEBOSH certificate will be an added advantage
