Speech and Language Therapist at SLT Support

We are hiring a Speech and Language Therapist whose role will include assessment, screening and care of patients to ensure value add to our clients.  If you are the successful candidate, you will be responsible for:

Responsibilities

• Identify the speech, feeding and communication difficulty or disorder for inpatient, clinic patients and home visits.
• Communicating with the patients and liaising with their family members to develop and deliver a suitable treatment programme, that will enable each of the clients improve.
• Educating patients and their family members on speech disorders and available therapies.
• Taking detailed confidential client notes and reports, as well as information for clients, care givers and other professionals.
•  Monitor and evaluate clients' progress.
• Keep updated with advancements in the field by attending conferences and networking.
• Provide mentoring to speech therapy students.
• Planning and delivering training.
• Work with a team to improve the effectiveness of service delivery.
• Write confidential client case notes and reports, as well as information for clients, care givers and other professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Speech and Language Therapy/Speech and Language Pathology from a university recognized in Kenya;
• a Valid registration certificate with the Association of Speech and Language Therapists of Kenya (ASLTK) or any other recognized speech and language therapists, pathologists, or audiologist’s professional.
