    Supervisor - Catering

    Job summary:                                  

    This role is responsible for overseeing all catering services.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Prepare budgets for catering and housekeeping unit.
    • Request and fill requisition forms for items needed in catering and housekeeping. (RPF).
    • Plan and oversee implementation of menu.
    • Plan and project food level requirement. 
    • Receive customers complaints and compliments, comments and take appropriate action.
    • Ensure health and safety regulation are observed.
    • Liaise with management on preparation for planned courses, seminars, workshops.
    • Plan duty roaster for catering and housekeeping staff.
    • Inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies, select and purchase new furnishing
    • Check quality and quantity of food delivered by suppliers.
    • Overall supervision of work and staff in catering and housekeeping to for conformance to prescribed standards.
    • Food control. That is checking the quantity of food cooked or issued from the store to avoid food wastage.
    • Ensure proper storage and usage of food to avoid food contamination.
    • Attend meetings and give monthly/weekly reports to management.
    • Examine building to determine need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment, and makes recommendations to management.

    • Plan and oversee implementation of menu.
    • Plan and project food level requirement. 

    Academic and Professional qualifications     

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Hospitality or any other related field from a recognized university.
    • Technical Training in Catering

    Relevant work experience required     

    • At least three (3) years’ of work experience in a Similar role.
