The Supply Chain Management Officer will report to the Director /CEO

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: –

• Preparing, advertising and distributing procurement documents;
• Maintaining up-to-date contract register;
• Sourcing for suppliers through request for quotations;Ensuring timely delivery of goods, services and works;
• Conducting market research and surveys;
• Ensuring safe custody of stores;
• Recommending stores requisitions for issuing;
• Monitoring the movement of stores;
• Coordinating identification of unserviceable, obsolete and surplus stores and equipment for disposal;
• Participating in tender opening and evaluation; and
• Complying with procurement regulation.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an applicant must have: –

• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Procurement and Supply Chain Management; Purchasing and Supplies Management; Supply Chain Management; Procurement and Contract Management; Logistics and Supply Chain Management; Procurement and Logistics Management or equivalent qualification from a
• recognized institution;
• Full membership to a professional body;
• Computer literacy; and
• Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
