    Training and Development Officer.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Training on First Aid, Health & Safety, Fire Safety, BLS & ACLS & other safety related courses
    • Design effective training programs
    • Conduct seminars, workshops, individual training sessions etc.
    • Prepare educational material such as module summaries, videos etc.
    • Amending and revising programmes as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment.
    • Keep attendance and other records
    • Facilitate production of certificates
    • Conduct evaluations to identify areas of improvement, the effectiveness of training programs and to provide recommendations for improvement.
    • Monitor Students performance and response to training
    • Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of training equipment & Material
    • Write proposals for the client’s Training Department.
    • Assist in marketing and publicity of all St. John Services, with emphasis on First Aid, Health & Safety, Fire Safety, BLS & ACLS.
    • Produce monthly reports based on results as per the training department indicators.
    • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • 1+ years’ relevant work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role
    • Must have extensive knowledge in First Aid, Health & Safety, Fire Safety, BCLS & ACLS
    • Should have gone through a Training of Trainers Course(TOT)
    • Should know how to develop curriculum for training
    • Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events in a corporate setting
    • Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation
    • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
    • Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools
    • Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
    • MS Office/Excel/PowerPoint proficiency
    • Strong communication skills
    • TVET Accreditation will be an added advantage
