Truck Driver at Karmec Company Ltd

We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious, and experienced Trailer Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to designated locations while ensuring compliance with traffic laws, company policies, and transport regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate trucks safely and efficiently to transport goods to various destinations.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical faults or safety concerns.
• Ensure cargo is loaded, secured, and transported safely to prevent damage or loss.
• Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes while meeting scheduled delivery timelines.
• Complete delivery documentation accurately, including delivery notes and fuel records.
• Maintain regular communication with dispatch and transport managers regarding delivery progress and any delays.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, transport regulations, and company safety procedures.
• Keep the vehicle clean and ensure routine maintenance schedules are followed.
• Report accidents, incidents, traffic violations, or vehicle breakdowns immediately.
• Assist with loading and unloading cargo when required.
• Ensure customer deliveries are completed professionally and obtain proof of delivery.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid driver's licence with the appropriate class for operating heavy commercial trailer trucks.
• Valid Certificate of Professional Competence or any other mandatory transport certification as required by local regulations.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience driving trailer trucks.
• Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations.
• Good knowledge of road safety regulations and defensive driving practices.
• Ability to conduct basic vehicle inspections and identify mechanical issues.
• Good communication and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and long-distance trips when required.
