Quality Assurance Lead at Turnkey Africa Kenya

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Designing testing standards, templates, quality gates, engagement models, service level agreements and change control process.
• Leading the QA Chapter, developing Test Strategies, reviewing existing Test Plans and scripts and working with cross-functional Product development team and Project Management teams.
• Define suitable metrics for measuring automated test progress and evaluation of the quality of the testing process and products
• In charge of the capacity planning for the QA team, managing the budgets and costs against revenue.
• Leads and collaborates with the product teams to define the overall testing strategy and plan; defines testing approach and scenarios for requirements
• Assists the teams in identifying additional details concerning specific requirements beyond standard scenarios (edge cases, non-functional)
• Automates functional / non-functional tests by leveraging and extending testing frameworks as required
• Take part in the performance management process, whose framework entails one on ones, 360 feedback degrees, surveys, formal sessions weekly meetings and retrospective

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

• Degree in IT, Computer Science / Computer Engineering
• ISTQB Certification is a plus
• Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods & tools
• Knowledge and/or experience in using JIRA, Git/Gerrit, Jenkins
• Experience in Behavior Driven Testing, Selenium, Cypress, Junit, Truth
• Experience working with Web Services and APIs.
• Experience with developer toolchains (such as docker, node, npm, Grunt, Gulp, or Webpack) a plus.
• Experience with Java and Oracle Databases.
• Database experience including proficiency at writing and executing SQL database queries
• ISO 9001:2008 quality system experience
