    Video Producer

    Result of Service

    Multimedia content where required to boost quality, impact and reach of UNEP’s multimedia assets and channels, and production of innovative photo and video content to support UNEP’s programme of work.

    Work Location: Home Based
    Expected duration: The duration of this consultancy is for three months

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Under the supervision of the Head of Multimedia, the Video Producer will perform the following duties:

    1. Undertake video assignments as required, including event, portrait and documentary videography, particularly in service of the Executive Office
    2. Manage the upload and metadata of media assets to YouTube, the DAM and other data management platforms, including creating curated content collections and bespoke downloads in response to requests
    3. Edit videos and graphics using the Adobe suite
    4. Editorial and Social teams to produce impactful content that illustrates UNEP’s key messaging
    5. Multimedia production, including scripting and research, across a variety of UNEP Projects and Campaigns
    6. Production of content formats including Executive Office video messages, news-style explainers, and other products
    7. Ensure accuracy, clarity, cohesion and conformity with United Nations standards, policies and practice.

    Qualifications/special skills

    1. Academic Qualifications: High School Diploma in Video production, media studies or another relevant field is required.
    2. Experience: A minimum of seven years of experience working in multimedia production, film making and/or video for high-quality platforms. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and other Creative Suite software is required. Prior experience shooting video and still photography on DSLR cameras and audio recording experience is desirable. Familiarity with 360 films and short-form video productions for social media use. Prior experience in the international arena, familiarity with the work of the UN.
    3. Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position fluency in English is required.
