Warehouse and Logistics Clerk at LED Power Technologies EA K Ltd

We, LED Power Technologies (EA) K Ltd - East Africa’s Leading Renewable Energy, Electrical, Mechanical, CCTV, IT Systems, and Lighting Contractor - are looking for a Female Warehouse and Logistics Clerk to further assist with the timely and accurate fulfillment of orders and purchase requisitions, and promote positive customer relations. This role is on an apprenticeship basis which may lead to permanent job placement.

The general duties of the successful candidate will cover coordination and keeping track of stores and warehousing activities, ensuring productive, quality, and customer service standards are met, and assisting daily warehousing and logistical performance and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• The successful candidate will be RESPONSIBLE for identifying, receiving, dispatching, and assuring the availability and quality of goods under the custody of the company. Also responsible for inspecting all resources passing through stores.
• MUST prepare complete reports on warehousing activities and logistics as well as performance.
• The candidate will be required to create supply and demand forecasting and planning reports.
• MUST organize and maintain proper current inventories, stock take records, and accounting, at all times.
• Must demonstrate the willingness to learn about new items, procedures, and innovations quickly, and identify areas of improvement in the warehousing and logistics department, then adjust or establish innovative work procedures and practices.
• Should communicate and coordinate all warehousing activities, and logistics with the rest of the key departments. Logistics issues and delays should be communicated promptly.
• MUST comply with all company policies and procedures including health, environment, and safety measures, and also maintain good housekeeping.
• Perform any other duty as may be assigned from time to time by the Warehouse and Logistics Manager and the rest of the Management team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Warehouse Management, and related courses.
• MUST have over 3 years of work experience in Warehousing, or Store and Inventory Management, as either a Warehouse Clerk/Supervisor.
• MUST be knowledgeable in warehousing software packages or their processes, and also proficient in MS Office.
• Ability to interpret warehouse inventory for each item and logistics data, and create useful reports especially related to dispatching.
• Ability to work under pressure and long hours.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate task completion commitment.
• Proven ability to coordinate operations.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
