The Role

• As a WordPress Developer with us, you'll be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including the creation of WordPress themes and plugins. We're looking for someone who stays up-to-date with the latest industry trends and possesses a strong understanding of content management systems.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins based on client specifications and design requirements.
• Designing and implementing new features and functionality.
• Establishing and guiding the websites architecture.
• Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS.
• Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.
• Implement and customize existing WordPress themes and templates.
• Collaborate with the design team to create engaging and intuitive user interfaces.
• Conduct website performance optimization, including speed and responsiveness enhancements.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues related to WordPress websites, plugins, and themes.
• Ensure websites are fully responsive and compatible across various devices and browsers.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as backups, updates, and security checks.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in WordPress development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, project managers, and content creators, to deliver high-quality websites within agreed timelines.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients and team members.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer, with a portfolio of WordPress projects.
• Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
• Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
• Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
• Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
• Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools {{such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial}} Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
• Practical understanding of website security and optimization
