Young Visually Impaired Graduates Employability Skills Training Program at Kilimanjaro Blind Trust Africa (KBTA)

• Kilimanjaro Blind Trust Africa (KBTA) is launching a Call for Applications - Cohort 10 of their immersive Employability Skills Project, scheduled to start in October 2025. KBTA offers a 3-month internship program to the visually impaired with total sight loss (VI) graduates from Kenyan universities and colleges with the ambition to pursue a career in their chosen field of study.
• This internship program includes a 3-month training program and another 3 months of placement in an internship in various corporate organisations depending on the availability of opportunities. The selected candidates are required to attend 5 days a week from 0830 to 1600 at the designated workplace.

Who Will Best Fit into This Program?

• Young people with visual impairment (totally blind) from the ages of 21-30 years who have graduated from university and are seeking for employment.
• Must have post-secondary education at diploma, degree or master's level.
• Must reside in Nairobi, Kenya or ready to make personal arrangements to relocate to Nairobi. The project is based in Nairobi.
• Youth with visual impairments, who are able to independently access the training location.
• Must have computer skills and are comfortable working on a computer.
• English is the language of instruction and communication, both written and verbal.
• Must have been registered with NCPWD.
