Purpose of Role
- This role works hand in hand with the Regional Heads of D&T to ensure overall end to end D&T capabilities within their markets bringing maximum value for Diageo. The role of Business Analyst is naturally flexible to bridge across multiple areas of D&T scope depending on priorities agreed with the market. A solid understanding of the business processes and expectations as well as existing system usage opens up opportunities for technology-enabled innovation and working collaboratively to deliver on commitments.
- He/She will provide the insight to define and measure “As Is” business capability maturity, understand the gaps to close and define the required “To Be” model to deliver against Diageo strategic goals. They will inspire, engage, and collaborate with subject matter experts across Diageo to define the process, data, people and tech to deliver strategic business outcomes.
- As an important member of the regional D&T team, they will work closely with the wider regional teams as well as Value Streams as needed.
Market Complexity
- D&T delivers products to all Diageo markets and functions. This role will oversee multiple markets in Africa and will be part of global working groups partnering in conjunction with the regional Heads of D&T to ensure that D&T delivers end to end across the spectrum of capabilities. This often includes a portfolio of complex geographic/ functional/ process/ system footprint.
Financial Complexity
- The market business analyst will, depending on the market scale typically have involvement in projects and regional capability analysis on systems and resource investment in multiple millions.
Role Responsibilities
- Working closely with the wider D&T team to ensure optimal executional delivery of D&T in Africa. The role requires a breadth of expertise both in analysis and partnering to ensure proficient accountability and ensure high quality delivery of D&T for the market.
Market Business Analysis:
- Capturing 'As Is' business capability maturity and Process to at least Level 4
- Define, align & publish 'To Be' business capability maturity to deliver Diageo strategic objectives – including target process flows
- Anticipating & identifying future opportunities and providing external perspectives, provocation.
- Support application rationalization roadmap
- Support development of robust business case to facilitate effective and transparent strategic prioritization of D&T investment
- Support identification of high-level impact of change from development/transformation of identified business capabilities
Business engagement and value realization:
- Build credible relationships with stakeholders and SME’s within market enabling you to truly understand and represent the market within D&T.
- Collaborate with market(s) to identify technology solutions that align with their strategic priorities and drive operational efficiency.
- Conscious of and works towards value optimization of D&T for their market, considering new technology investments, adoption and usage of key systems as well as service excellence.
Strategy and execution:
- Participate and perform analysis in strategic planning sessions to provide technology insights and recommendations.
- Work closely with business units to gather requirements and translate them into actionable technology initiatives.
- Collaborate with the solution teams in respective value streams to successfully deliver the technology roadmap as per commitments.

Experience / skills required
- At least 3 years of responsibilities in IT or an IT focused business area
- Experience in identifying and assessing business capability maturity required to deliver strategic outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain good business relationships
- Demonstrated ability to effectively engage cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
- Training or knowledge of supported business domain areas
- A strong track record of working within large matrixed organizations

Purpose of Role
The Delivery & Change Analyst ensures strong change management plans in place across the D&T agenda for the region. Works with Value Streams and PMs to ensure proper change plans in place, works with wider regional D&T teams to ensure overall D&T plans consider market capacity to absorb change. Includes focus on ongoing adoption and usage of existing systems working together with the value stream team to increase value.
Global CM team focuses primarily on project change, Regional CM ensures overall change and adoption of D&T capabilities ongoing.

The Delivery & Change Analyst works closely with both the wider regional team, global D&T teams and especially the Change Management Community to ensure optimal strategic and executional delivery of D&T change and adoption into their region and markets. The role requires a breadth of expertise to ensure proficient partnering on adoption as well as project change success for the market.
Role Responsibilities
- Works with the Regional D&T Leadership Team leveraging elements of the wider teams’ deliverables as well as global D&T to ensure end to end D&T delivers for Markets.
- Work with Value Streams to assess change impact at the outset of programs and projects to gauge change resources needs within the region both D&T and business.
- Working closely with regional delivery lead and value streams to define and own macro change plans across the region to lead impact for the markets.
- Define a robust stakeholder map to identify key sponsors, supporters and advocates
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with senior representatives from region
- Coach stakeholders and sponsors on their role in leading and embedding change beyond project execution.
- Develop and support extended regional network of change resources
- Govern and support use of Diageo change framework by project change leads and uphold standards of execution in region
- Identify potential risks and anticipated blockers to change at a programme level, and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns
- Conduct assessments to continuously evaluate business readiness based on the latest business environment and market conditions
- Along with wider regional D&T capture meaningful metrics to measure the value and impact of the change management activities
- Works collaboratively with global value streams, as needed, to ensure successful delivery project change and existing capability adoption in markets.

Purpose of Role
- Regional Portfolio and Non-Portfolio Delivery: Lead the Regional D&T team in investment prioritization, governance, financial/resource management, delivering quality regional outcomes. Ensure value streams and BAU teams are coordinated effectively into markets.
- Market Complexity: Handle a wide portfolio across multiple geographies/functions/processes/systems with mid-to-high range risks related to business operations.
- Leadership Responsibilities & Capabilities: Collaborate with regional/global D&T teams to structure appropriate resources for delivery plans. Oversee governance/control measures protecting investments while focusing on quality outcomes aligned regionally.
- Financial Complexity: Oversee an annual D&T budget of £10m+, ensuring successful utilization of funds while flagging risks/opportunities.
Role Responsibilities
Portfolio Delivery Management:
- Handle interdependencies across regional activities identifying resource synergies/business capacity/project approaches for efficient delivery.
- Work with PM centre of excellence team for program/project mobilization including refining business cases from a regional perspective.
- Identify risks/issues; implement corrective actions ensuring successful project delivery.
- Empower program/project leaders within the portfolio holding them accountable for status/risk mitigation/issue resolution/CARM compliance/resourcing decisions.
Stakeholder Relationship Management:
- Partner with strategic PMO office ensuring criteria fulfillment before accepting work into portfolio. Influence alignment on work prioritization at Value Stream Boards among regional/global partners/product owners.
- Collaborate internally (value stream leads/solution managers/programme/project managers/cross-functional departments/senior leadership) ensuring support/alignment for portfolio delivery.
- Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders;
- Handle expectations/communicate progress/address concerns/issues.
Process Improvement & Optimization:
- Continuously evaluate/improve portfolio delivery processes/methodologies/tools enhancing efficiency/success rates.
- Implement best practices/frameworks ensuring consistent/effective portfolio delivery.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Monitor performance leading review frameworks against commitments (monthly/quarterly/annual).

Qualifications & Experience Required
- Significant programme/stakeholder management experience within large matrixed organizations delivering outcome-based solutions using both traditional (waterfall) & iterative (Agile) methodologies
