    Outpatient Center Manager – Village Medical Center

    Reporting to the Head of Medical Service at Village Medical Center, the Outpatient Center Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating the medical practice delivery model in accordance with the strategic goals of M P Shah Hospital; share in the administrative functions that directly impact medical services and assist Head of Medical Services in overall planning and budget activities and assure delivery of quality services to all patients.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Manage and co-ordinate general and specialized medical services in the Outpatient Satellite clinic.
    • Providing Operational Leadership for the clinical services to ensure cost effective and efficient service delivery in line with hospital vision, mission and objectives.
    • Monitor medical service delivery within agreed frameworks.
    • Preparing quality, timely progress reports of projects/processes as assigned by the Medical Officer in charge
    • Participate in Recruitment, mentorship and supervision of staff in the satellite clinic
    • Overseeing of safe patient care.
    • Liaison between doctors and satellite administration.
    • Supervise/create and maintain an objective, well-balanced, cost saving and feasible duty roster of all staff in units to ensure coverage of units including organizing for locum staff cover during emergencies and scheduled leave.
    • Training, guidance and performance appraisal of newly appointed and existing satellite staff Conflict resolution in internal (staff to staff) and external (staff to client or vice-versa) conflicts.
    • Vetting and approval of new equipment needed for patient care.
    • Ensure staff participation in all satellite capacity building initiatives.
    • Present unit performance and improvement plans to supervisors when required.
    • Develop and review all policies, processes and job descriptions in liaison with the Head of Medical Services
    • Be a key member of a dynamic, progressive multi-disciplinary management team as well as a clearly understand working in a multidisciplinary management team

    Qualifications & Requirements

    1. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
    2. Post Graduate qualification in Management related course
    3. Be able to prepare and analyze reports and data
    4. Excellent negotiation and communication skills
    5. Minimum of at least 5 years of experience working in a Managerial Position

    Assistant Medical Director

    Reporting to the Medical Director, the Assistant Medical Director will be responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating the medical practice delivery model in accordance with the strategic goals of M. P Shah Hospital; share in the administrative functions that directly impact medical services and assist Medical Director in overall planning and budget activities and assure delivery of quality services to all patients.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Manage and co-ordinate general and specialized medical services in the Hospital and its satellite clinics.
    • Providing Operational Leadership for the clinical services to ensure cost effective and efficient service delivery in line with hospital vision, mission and objectives.
    • Monitor medical service delivery within agreed frameworks
    • Preparing quality, timely progress reports of projects/processes assigned to the Medical Director’s Office.
    • Recruitment, mentorship and supervision of doctors through the various clinical heads of departments.
    • Overseeing of safe patient care.
    • Liaison between doctors and hospital administration.
    • Supervise/create and maintain an objective, well-balanced, cost saving and feasible duty roster of all doctors in units to ensure 24-hour coverage of units including organizing for locum doctor cover during emergencies and scheduled leave.
    • Training, guidance and performance appraisal of newly appointed and existing doctors that report directly to the Medical Director.
    • Conflict resolution in internal (staff to staff) and external (staff to client or vice-versa) conflicts.
    • Vetting and approval of new equipment needed for patient care.
    • Ensure staff participation in all hospital capacity building initiatives.
    • Present unit performance and improvement plans to supervisors when required.
    • Develop and review all clinical policies, clinical care pathways and clinical job descriptions in liaison with the HODs and the Medical Director.
    • Be a part of and provide expertise to any committee formed by hospital administration for specific mandates.
    • Be a key member of a dynamic, progressive multi-disciplinary management team as well as a clearly understand working in a corporate board, Senior level management activities including development and implementation of Institutional strategic plan.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    1. Master’s degree in any field of Medicine
    2. Post Graduate qualification in Management related course
    3. Be able to prepare and analyze reports and data
    4. Excellent negotiation and communication skills
    5. Minimum of at least Ten years of experience working in a Managerial Position and five years’ experience working as a Medical Consultant in their field of specialty.
