    Qualification

    Education, Skills & Experience

    Must Have:

    • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing professional training programmes or institutions, preferably in professional development sectors.

    Key responsibilities also include

    Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

    • Provide strategic and operational support to the Executive Director in management and growth of professional training.
    • Ensure all programs comply with industry standards and accreditation requirements.
    • Coordinate professional development initiatives and customized short courses for industry professionals.
    • Provide leadership in the planning, implementation, and quality assurance of programmes under the Centre for Professional Studies.

    Senior Manager, Tvet Programmes - Equip Africa Institute

    Qualification

    Education, Skills & Experience

    Must Have:

    • Master’s degree in a relevant area and a Diploma in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), or its equivalent
    • At least 3 years of experience in managing or coordinating TVET programs in a higher education or skills training institution.
    • Knowledge of national and regional TVET policies, curriculum development, and competency-based education and training.

    Full Time Trainer, Business and Social Sciences - Nakuru Centre

    Qualification

    Must have

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in a relevant area of specialization from a recognized institution.
    • Computer literacy
    • Minimum Three (3) years’ experience in a comparable position.

    Captain, Malindi Maritime Academy - Equip Africa Institute

    Qualification

    Education, Skills & Experience

    Must Have:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime Studies, Nautical Science, or a related field.
    • Certificate of Competency (CoC) as Master (Unlimited) – issued in accordance with the STCW Convention.
    • Minimum sea service of 5 years at sea, with at least 2 years in command of seagoing vessels
    • Understanding of national and international maritime regulations, especially those governing maritime training institutions.

    Key responsibilities also include

    Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

    • Provide strategic leadership and direction for Malindi Maritime Academy and all maritime training programs.
    • Serve as the contact person on maritime practices and safety within the training academy.
    • Responsible for delivery and assessment of all maritime academy programmes ensuring adherence to the regulator’s standards and other established practices.
    • Enforce strict adherence to safety standards and maritime regulations during training.
