    As a Field Specialist, you will be responsible for:

    • Perform routine and preventive chemical pump maintenance to ensure reliable and safe operation.

    Field Engineer - LWD/DD

    Job Profile Summary

    • Learning under direct supervision, to learning logging-while-drilling and directional drilling tool(s) and services as assigned. 
    • Must be able to read well plan, execute directional drilling and to perform basic maintenance at the wellsite.
    • Performing all required responsibilities safely and as described in work instructions. Executes other related duties as assigned by the supervisors. 
    • Conducting all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.
    • Must complete all training and development programs required within Applications Engineer -1 Program and all local training and development programs.

    Drilling Operator

    Drilling operations at Baker Hughes rely on highly skilled operators who support safe and flawless execution on the rig floor. Drilling operators work directly with the drilling team, handling essential mechanical tools, tubulars, and equipment used to build wellbore structure and maintain drilling continuity.

    • As a Drilling Operator, you will be working at the center of rig operations, supporting drilling crews with tubular handling and mechanical operations fundamental to safe well construction. You will be operating drilling‑floor tools, assisting in running casing and tubing, inspecting equipment, and supporting the driller and floorhands with the tasks required to keep drilling progressing efficiently.

    As a Drilling Operator, you will be responsible for:

    • Operating drilling and tubular‑handling equipment on the rig floor—including elevators, slips, spiders, mechanical tools, and hydraulic/pneumatic devices used during pipe handling and well construction.
    • Assisting with running and pulling tubulars (casing, drill pipe, and tubing), supporting safe alignment, stabbing, latching, and connection integrity during drilling operations.
    • Inspecting tools and equipment before, during, and after drilling activities to ensure operational readiness and identify potential failures or hazards.
    • Communicating effectively with the driller, rig floor operators, and supervisors to coordinate safe movement of tubulars, tools, and equipment.
    • Following all drilling and client safety requirements, attending rig safety meetings, and maintaining constant awareness of hazards on the rig floor.
    • Supporting general rig‑floor duties such as assisting with rig‑up/rig‑down, basic equipment troubleshooting, and completing operational documentation.

    To be successful in this role you will:

    • Have general knowledge of the oil and gas industry, preferably with direct exposure to drilling or tubular‑handling operations.
    • Have strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely operate and understand mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic tools used on drilling rigs.
    • Have the ability to work well and communicate effectively with drilling crews, supervisors, and subcontracted personnel in high‑pressure environments.
    • Have a two‑year technical degree (preferred) or equivalent technical training combined with field experience.
    • Have previous industry experience and product‑line exposure (drilling, TRS, rig operations), with the ability to follow procedures and maintain safety compliance.
    • Have the willingness to work variable schedules— ncluding offshore, shift‑based, or on‑call assignments and adapt to changing operational demands

    Field Specialist - ALS

We provide customers with the peace of mind needed to improve their operations reliably and efficiently.

    Work onsite with customers

    • As a Field Specialist, you will be performing installation/pulling of Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) and associated equipment in offshore and onshore oil and water wells. May be required to work unsupervised.

    As a Field Specialist, you will be responsible for:

    • Inspecting and assembling all types of ESP submersible equipment, supervises and assists the subsequent installation of tubing and banding of cable, periodically checks system electrical integrity during installation.  
    • Assists with monitoring, trouble shooting and testing downhole ESP equipment in order to maximize well productivity and ESP run life.
    • Calculating required surface voltage, designates proper transformer connections and wire size, sets up surface equipment and ensures system safety devices are installed and functioning. 
    • Inspecting and repairs all types of ESP submersible equipment, diagnoses problems, makes applicable field repairs to equipment, recommends appropriate action to the customer. 
    • Performing more specialized electrical work including basic repair work on VSD’s, troubleshooting downhole pressure systems, converting switchboard wiring from one type of controller to another and installing voltage analyzing equipment. 
    • Performing all levels of maintenance, inspection, checks, testing and troubleshooting on ESP and  other artificial lift equipment and commissioning equipment

    • Have a Two-year Technical Diploma.
    • Have at least 2 years’ experience in ESP submersible equipment
    • Experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and fault finding of Artificial Lift equipment and systems.
    • Knowledgeable in Variable Speed Drives (VSD) and automated systems
    • Display a powerful customer service-orientation mind-set, experienced leading customers through tough decisions.
    • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, to convey technical concepts to customers, both internal and external.

    As a Laboratory Technician you will be responsible for:

    • Applying of scientific research and development in a lab environment
    • Executing routine analyses using vested methods and technologies and/or contributes to technological developments in teams under supervision.

    • Working together with people from the business unit. Specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues.
