    Baggage Instructor

    Brief Description        

    Organize, conduct &evaluate training & development programmes to enhance organizational andindividual performance of operational personnel and commercial customers

    Detailed Description        

    • Develop and review baggage handling training program for conformance to industry standards and regulations
    • Conduct a training needs analysis to address training gaps
    • Develop a training schedule to facilitate effective planning of programmes
    • Liaise with relevant stakeholders to enable smooth coordination of training
    • Conduct training programs in accordance with the approved syllabi\curriculum to ensure staff gain knowledge and the skills to perform their roles
    • Prepare administer, mark examination and communicate results
    • Prepare reports on all trainings conducted to enable continuous evaluation of programmes and facilitate decision making
    • Submit training records that are complete and accurate within the stipulated timelines
    • Monitor and evaluate implementation of training to ensure effective transfer of skills and identify further training needs to continuously improve performance (level 3)
    • Organize training logistics including learning materials and venue arrangements
    • Issue certificates/transcripts to qualified participants to ensure compliance with KQ Standards and procedures

    Senior Business Analyst

    Brief Description        

    To identify processautomation opportunities and provide strategic business analysis services tobusiness partners. Work closely with the business process owners to gainin-depth understanding of customer’s business strategy, processes, services,roadmap and the context in which the business operates.     Detailed Description        
    Planning

    • Develop and plan own daily and monthly activities and those of the business stakeholders related to IT automation and business process review.
    • Analyze business operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities for improvements.
    • Conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.

    Business Requirements

    • Lead the assessment of business needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analysing, documenting, and managing changes to prioritize immediate business needs and recommends options, risks and costs vs. benefits.
    • Lead development and communicate business requirements and functional specificationsfor the design and implementation of business solutions.

    Business Case Development

    • Responsible for the development of the business case and perform cost benefit and return on investment analysis for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
    • Make design decisions related to the capacity to automate. Decide on the extent to which business processes can be automated within time, scope and budget.
    • Assess the risks of various solutions and prioritize competing business demands

    Carry out strategic sourcing, evaluates and urgentlyspare parts, maintenance services and Fuel to Ground support Equipment &Motor vehicles as well jet fuel across the network. Implement and maintain costeffective procurement requirements for Kenya – Airways PLC to achieve a safe,sustainable, and reliable supply chain and increase shareholder value andorganizations profit

    Detailed Description        

    • Strategic Sourcing for GSE spare parts, equipment repair and maintenance services, jet fuel for both planned and unplanned flights across the network
    • Manage outworks for GSE parts going out for repair services by third parties
    • Work closely with GSE team to ensure equipment availability and give weekly report on Grounded equipment
    • Manage end to end procure to pay process
    • Develop detailed sourcing and category plans to maximize effectiveness and efficiency
    • Build and manage relationship with vendors to eliminate operation disruptions due to nil fuel across the network
    • Ensure 100% compliance on e-sourcing tool to execute sourcing activities
    • Analyse fuel prices shared by contracted vendors on Weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly basis and update the same to Fuel Management System – Fuel Plus
    • Prepare and share monthly fuel pricing to operations teams for planning purpose
    • Manage the fuel invoice reconciliation process to ensure the accuracy of all fuel related expenses
    • Carry out periodic category spend analysis, with major focus on jet fuel category which make-up 40% of total operation cost and maintenance/repair cost
    • Maintain current understanding of pricing structures, market conditions and trends in industry for Fuel, with clear understanding of supply chain of petroleum products in each market where KQ operates.
    • Perform periodic sourcing to keep up with changing market prices for spare parts for ground support equipment, motor vehicles and identify new vendors to support the GSE category in terms of quality & affordable spare parts and maintenance services
    • Monitor consumption trends, carry out demand forecasting and communicate the same to key suppliers for production/replenishment planning thereby reducing lead time
    • Ensure all sourcing are within the allocated budget and any spend not budgeted for is a companied by approved business case
    • Manage supply/service contracts, set up, negotiate, and review commercial terms, scope & deliverables in contracts to obtain favourable pricing and delivery structures.
    • Carryout supplier risk assessment semi-annually
    • Carryout periodic supplier performance appraisal against specific performance indicators such quality, timely delivery, compliance and SLA’s to ensure adherence to key contract milestone
    • Prepare reports on supplier performance to ensure timely deliveries and quality assurance

    Job Requirements        

    • Procurement/Supply Chain Management, Business or other relevant degree.
    • Knowledge of inventory management.
    • Knowledge in relevant IT tools and systems eg. ERP, Fuel Plus, Contract Management System
    • Post graduate diploma in Purchasing and supplies management.
    • Contract management knowledge
    • Over 4 years’ experience in Procurement or Supply Chain environment.
