JOB PURPOSE:

• The Internal Auditor at Luton Hospital is responsible for providing independent, objective assurance and advisory services to safeguard the hospital's assets, revenue, and reputation. The role focuses on strengthening internal controls, preventing and detecting fraud, sealing revenue leakages, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with healthcare, financial, and regulatory requirements in line with the hospital's strategic objectives.

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA (K), ACCA, CIA, or equivalent is mandatory or highly preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in internal audit, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, auditing standards, fraud risk management, and healthcare operations.

JOB PURPOSE:

• The Debt Collection Officer will be responsible for collection of payments from insurances and other hospital payers/debtors, maintaining accurate reconciliation and accounting records, providing accurate and timely collection reports and ensures the same is maintained in accordance with the laid down policies and procedures of the organization.

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• CPA II/Diploma in credit management or its equivalent (Mandatory)
• A Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or in progress.
• A Minimum of 5 years' experience in collection in a busy hospital preferably a level 4 and above. (Mandatory)

JOB PURPOSE:

• To support the Payables Accountant in maintaining accurate and complete accounting records relating to creditors and other payables by preparing, verifying, and processing payables transactions, ensuring timely and reliable accounting information in compliance with the organization's policies and procedures, IFRS requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Certified Public Accountant Finalist or registered with ICPAK - Mandatory. Bachelor's degree in Business or in progress.
• At least 3 years post qualification of CPA Finalist or 7 years on the job experience plus 5 years post qualification of CPA finalist, in both cases 5 years should be in senior accounting/same position in a level 4 hospital or External Audit firm.
