    Dreams Field Officer

    VACANCY REF: KCCB-ACTS/12/2023/7

    JOB PURPOSE

    • The principal function of the post holder is to implement day to day interventions of the DREAMS project in the target wards. S/He will work in close collaboration with stakeholders on the ground to provide most vulnerable Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) aged 9-14 years with core package of evidence-informed interventions most likely to impact HIV incidence, address risk behaviors for and transmission of HIV, and reduce gender-based violence. S/He will ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive timely services as per the Kenya DREAMS layering table.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • To support the overall implementation of the project activities in the ward, including reporting, financial management and monitoring.
    • Implement the Project activities in the target ward ensuring effective integration with ward health and development plans, Ministry of Education systems and service delivery structures.
    • Support the trained resource persons MLRC teachers, FMP facilitators and mentors in the implementation of project activities.
    • The DREAMS field officer will play the role of the local DREAMS representative in so far as the implementation of EBIs and other DREAMS interventions.
    • Be the resident coordinator of the Safe Space, ensuring that it is equipped and stocked with DREAMS commodities, it is safe and that it is branded accordingly.
    • Ensure adherence to the ethics, rules and regulations set to regulate the behavior of everyone working with AGYW at the safe space.
    • Coordinate the work of mentors and facilitators in the wards, keeping records of their activities and work-plans.

    JOB SPECIFICATION: –

    • Academic and professional Qualification
    • A minimum of a diploma in community health, public health, social sciences or related field.
    • Length of Experience
    • Comprehensive HIV or GBV prevention interventions among adolescents
    • Extensive experience in understanding and responding to the most urgent needs and rights of vulnerable adolescents and youth in regard to HIV/AIDs and SGBV stakeholders.

    • Ability to work in a team environment, collaborating and sharing ideas
    • Ability to develop and maintain close relationship with various stakeholders

    Senior Technical Advisor/ Medical Officer – Adult Care and Retention

    KCCB-ACTS/12/2023/8 

    JOB PURPOSE

    • The Senior Technical Advisor-Care and Treatment will work with the KCCB ACTS Deputy Program Director-Clinical Services in providing technical assistance for activities intended to strengthen the capacity of supported health facilities, project technical teams, and other stakeholders to effectively deliver integrated and quality care & treatment services including Pediatric, TB/HIV, PMTCT, VMMC, Adolescent and Adult HIV Care & Treatment.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead in development and oversight of program weekly, monthly and quarterly Adult HIV and TB work plans.
    • Working in collaboration with Deputy Program Director-Clinical Services, support health facility and program teams in development of integrated HIV/TB facility interventions and work plans and oversee their implementation.
    • Collaborate with S/CHMT, project technical staff and supported health facilities to strengthen the CD4, VL lab and sputum samples networks in supported sites, ensuring timely collection of relevant lab samples for diagnosis and for monitoring treatment outcomes.
    • Provide support in implementation of continuous quality improvement projects to improve quality of services in supported sites.
    • Work in collaboration with S/CHMT and other project technical teams to conduct targeted site supervision visits to KCCB ACTS supported health facilities for technical assistance, capacity building and mentorship of HCWs.
    • In coordination with county teams and HSS Lead, identify training needs and support implementation of relevant training modules targeting medical staff and other HIV providers.
    • Supervise and support technical advisors/component leads in their routine weekly site supportive supervision along with County and sub county HMT members to ensure quality service delivery.
    • Take lead in monitoring the progress in linkage of newly identified PLHIV to care & treatment, ART initiation, OI management, viral load suppression, and retention and cohort outcomes for adults, adolescents and children.
    • Provide support in adult Advanced HIV Disease management, Cervical cancer services and differentiated service delivery models in accordance to the national guidelines.
    • Work closely with the M&E team to support in monitoring achievement of program targets.

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience & Skills : –

    • A bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery (MBChB) or its equivalent.
    • Diploma/degree in Project management is an additional advantage.
    • 5 years’ experience with and technical knowledge of current HIV/AIDS issues and trends.

    Dreams Data Clerk

    REF: KCCB-ACTS/12/2023/5

    JOB PURPOSE

    • The principal function of the post holder is to verify and key in completed DREAMS services intervention data into DREAMS program database. S/he will ensure proper filing and storage of AGYW files as per AGYW data management SOP.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: –

    • Timely entry of completed DREAMS services into the database.
    • Participate in routine data quality audits and support supervision of interventions at the ward level.
    • Capacity build mentors, FMP facilitators and MLRC teachers on how to populate registers of specific interventions e.g. MLRC registers and service uptake forms.
    • Generate monthly ward data progress report to inform decision making and change of strategy for acceleration of services.
    • Participate in the development and implementation of the project M&E strategy.
    • Support the enrolment of eligible adolescent girls and young women aged 9-14 into the program.
    • Participate in mentor’s monthly data review meetings at the ward level.
    • Ensure proper filing and storage of AGYW files and, limit access to only authorized personnel.
    • Carry out any other essential tasks related to KCCB ACTS and General Secretariat’s goals that may reasonably be assigned.

    JOB SPECIFICATION: –
    Academic and professional Qualification

    • A minimum of a diploma in health records and information management, computer science, applied mathematics, statistics or related course desired
    • Data management/M&E training from a recognized institution is an added advantage.

    Length of Experience

    • Minimum of 2 years specific data entry work experience in health sector.
    • Must have extensive experience with M&E in regard to HIV/AIDs, youth and/or DREAMS program.

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Basic Computer and analytical skills desirable
    • Proficiency in management information systems with precise accuracy and efficiency in keying in data
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, set priorities, work independently and in a team environment.

    JOB PURPOSE

    • To provide logistical support to program and administrative teams ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensure that vehicles are used for pre-approved purposes.
    • Overseeing the fueling of vehicles and ensure that fuel cards are replenished on a timely basis.
    • Report promptly any matter related to maintenance of vehicles including regular services and insurances renewal.
    • Ensure cleanliness of the vehicles is maintained all through.
    • Strict adhere to Traffics rules and regulations of the roads.
    • Ensure vehicle log/mileage sheets and any other required operational records are completed accurately and on a timely basis and are verified on a regular basis.
    • Ensure safety custody of vehicles while on duty and ensure they are all parked at the end of the day as the designated KCCB ACTS parking.
    • Ensure safe custody of the vehicle keys in the transport office.
    • Regulate heating equipment and ventilation of vehicle for comfort of passengers.
    • Assumes responsibility for the safety of passengers.
    • Instruct passengers in safety precautions and practices.
    • Reports delays and accidents to the supervisor in a timely manner.
    • Carry out any other essential tasks related to KCCB ACTS and General Secretariat’s goals that may reasonably be assigned.

    JOB SPECIFICATION: –

    • Qualifications, Requirements and Experience
    • Is a holder of K.C.S.E with minimum C- grade.
    • Holder of clean, BCE Class, valid driving license
    • Minimum 5 years driving experience accident free and knowledgeable of most regions in Kenya.
    • Certificate of good conduct from Kenya National Police Service
