    Deputy Director, Partnership, Stakeholder Management and Resource Mobilization

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manages the development of partnership and stakeholder management strategy and annual work plans
    • Develops, executes and continuously refines multi-channel Consumer Relations and the development of programs, roadmaps, and Consumer Relation and partnership strategies.
    • Develops KPI and annual targets for each audience (tourists, trade, sector, local community, KTB employees)
    • Designs the communication flow and governance rules for each target audience (segmentation, frequency, max number of emails, etc.
    • Approves content and creatives of each emailing campaign.
    • Leads the Kenyan Industry Engagement Programme implementation, coordinating with different departments in order to provide the services of the portfolio (training, business intelligence, webinars, etc.).
    • Manages database for effective market segmentation and targeting
    • Sensitizes consumers on the portfolio of the Services provided by KTB to the sector using the different available channels
    • Attracts and negotiates collaboration agreements with private companies to support the value return, communication and marketing of tourism products, in line with the marketing strategy
    • Develops and oversees implementation of fundraising strategies, that includes yearly targets to meet the costs of the current and future programmes;
    • Reviews reports and documents on activities related to resource mobilization
    • Coordinates the developing and reviewing of proposals for funding;
    • Ensures key strategic partners are identified and a database maintained;
    • Evaluates performance of staff, mentor and coach staff in and within the department
    • Provides technical advice and support on grant proposal development to the programme team members
    • Develops innovative approaches in resource mobilization both  locally and internationally
    • Reviews of agreements with donors and other partners
    • Defines and establishes partnerships to strengthen Kenya’s destination brand power
    • Monitors relationships with existing customers through CRM systems and establish satisfaction indices of the sector
    • Attain the target volumes and reach the quality of contacts in the CRM and a good degree of customer retention and loyalty
    • Monitors and maximize consumer retention strategies to ensure maximum return on investment
    • Develops the contact plan for each target audience (sources, data structure, etc.), implement it Coordinate, and monitor the set-up of the performance dashboard.
    • Monitor the implementation of marketing agreements
    • Request periodical reports of emailing campaigns performance
    • Manage the preparation of departmental reports.
    • Resolving customer complaints quickly and efficiently
    • Identify process improvements that reduce cost, improve quality and allow for the more efficient usage of organizational resources
    • Develops and manages the departmental budget.
    • Manage risks within the department
    • Establishes team objectives, evaluate and motivate the team members to achieve them.

    Key Qualifications and Experience

    The ideal candidate must possess the following:

    • A minimum of at least ten (10) years relevant work experience with five (5) years in direct marketing/Customer relationship management/Customer Services/Loyalty program management/Resource Mobilization with five (5) years in a supervisory position
    • Master’s degree in any of the following; Marketing, Tourism Management, Business Administration or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution OR Bachelor’s Degree in any field from a recognized institution with Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from a recognized institution
    • Member of a relevant professional body
    • Management course lasting not less than four weeks from a recognized institution

    Deputy Director, Digital Marketing

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develops the overall digital marketing strategy, plans and implements in a timely manner to promote the destinations brand, product and experiences in the digital space achieving a return on investment.
    • Creates strategies to increase online traffic to the organization’s website and improve user experience on the company’s website (Includes design, content and usability)
    • Undertakes competitor analysis on digital marketing space and keep abreast with industry and market trends and best practices
    • Identifies new digital marketing trends and ensure that the brand is at the cutting edge of the industry developments.
    • Manages the creative direction and design of compelling and effective online marketing tools including and not limited to KTB's websites and applications, campaign ads and campaign landing pages
    • Oversee all the KTB's social media accounts and channels
    • Prepares and manages the digital marketing budget
    • Develops KTB’s 360° digital communication plan and identifies activities for improving the quality of online content (Online, SEO/SEM, website, apps and social networks)
    • Manages online conversations around the brand and product, identifying trends, issues and actively participating in achieving content engagement and conversion
    • Optimizes content for the website and social networking channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google Plus, etc
    • Measures and reports performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
    • Plans and executes all web, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns
    • Enhances capacity development of the organization on digital marketing and skills enhancement of the digital marketing team
    • Prepares and manage the digital marketing budget
    • Manages and oversees various digital marketing channels
    • Identifies process improvements that reduce cost, improve quality and allow for the more efficient usage of organizational resources in the region.
    • Leads, supervises and motivates members of the digital marketing team

    Key Qualifications and Experience

    The ideal candidate must possess the following:

    • Minimum of a Ten (10) years’ relevant experience with at least Five (5) years in digital marketing and with Five (5) years in a supervisory position
    • Master’s degree in any of the following; Marketing, Tourism Management,Business Administration or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution OR Bachelor’s Degree in any field from a recognized institution with a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from a recognized institution
    • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Net Insight, Omniture, Web, Trends)
    • Working knowledge of ad serving tools (e.g., DART, Atlas)
    • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google AdWords campaigns
    • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints

    Deputy Director, Business Tourism and Events

    Key Responsibilities

    • Developing Department’s Business Tourism Strategy and Annual Work Plans in collaboration with stakeholders
    • Conceptualize events and exhibition to ensure competitiveness, increased engagements and   conversion
    • Advises the Board and Management on identification and implementation of the departmental plan and on opportunities to realize maximum returns
    • Identifies strategic partners to complement events exhibition cost
    • Reviews the departmental reports to determine the level of effectiveness to inform subsequent strategies and actions.
    • Develop the departments Strategy and annual Work Plan in collaboration with Business Development Manager and Regional Deputy Directors, ensuring timely implementation to achieve targets.
    • Designs the concept of the event / exhibition based on the objectives established
    • Coordinates the Implementation of the department’s activities as guided by the AWP
    • Manages, supervises and monitors the department’s performance in order to achieve objectives.
    • Implements a system to measure the performance of events and exhibition activities.
    • Manages the department’s budget
    • Monitors and evaluates events & exhibitions’ effectiveness as a marketing tool.
    • Implements Quality Management System within the department

    • Oversee the planning and hosting site inspection visits for confirmed international clients and qualified potential international buyers
    • Spearhead the development of a database of national, regional and international MICE clients, planners, buyers and intermediaries
    • Identify marketing communication channels appropriate for Business Tourism
    • Overseeing timely and efficient implementation of the department’s plans and activities
    • Developing tools, metrics and parameters to measure the contribution of the organization to growth of tourism and export sectors
    • Oversee maintenance and tracking of potential business leads, sales bids won and lost and produce monthly reports
    • Collaborate with the key stakeholders to develop relevant strategies and techniques for use in business tourism development

    Key Qualifications and Experience

    The ideal candidate must possess the following:

    • Minimum of at least ten (10) years’ experience in a relevant field with at least five (5) in Exhibitions and Events Management and with Five (5) years in a supervisory position
    • Master’s degree in any of the following; Marketing, Tourism Management, Business Administration or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
    • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial design, Interior design or related field with OR Bachelor’s Degree in any field from a recognized institution with Postgraduate Diploma in Design from a recognized institution.
    • Member of a relevant professional body

    Deputy Director, Regional Market

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develops the Regional Marketing Strategy & Annual Work Plans to grow Kenya’s market share, arrivals and revenues.
    • Coordinate the implementation of Regional Marketing Strategy and Annual Work Plans

    Deputy Director Finance and Accounts

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop financial and accounts policies and procedures

    • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following discipline: Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or its equivalent qualification from recognized institution
    • Certified Public Accountants CPA (K) or its equivalent qualification
    • Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya
    • Management Course lasting not  less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
    • Proficiency in computer applications
