    Data Loss Prevention Analyst

    The Data Loss Prevention Analyst monitors, analyzes, and optimizes the organization’s Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solution. This role includes identifying potential data security risks, tuning policies for optimal performance, and generating actionable insights to enhance the organization’s data protection measures. The DLP Analyst will work closely with the Data Security and Governance teams to ensure the effectiveness of DLP initiatives.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Data Monitoring and Analysis:

    • Monitor and analyze data movement across the organization to identify potential breaches or unauthorized access.
    • Investigate and respond to DLP alerts and incidents promptly.

    Policy Management and Optimization:

    • Assist in configuring, tuning, and testing DLP policies to reduce false positives and negatives.
    • Provide recommendations for policy adjustments based on incident trends and analysis.

    Incident Response:

    • Investigate security incidents and work with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
    • Develop and maintain incident response procedures for handling data leakage events.

    Reporting and Insights:

    • Generate regular reports on DLP incidents, trends, and system performance.
    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve DLP effectiveness and compliance.

    Collaboration and Support:

    • Work closely with IT, data governance, and security teams to enhance the organization’s data protection strategies.Support user training and awareness initiatives on DLP policies and practices.

    KEY QUALIFICATIONS
    Experience: 3+ years of experience in information security or data protection, with hands-on experience in DLP systems.
    Technical Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of DLP technologies and tools.
    • Experience in analyzing and responding to data security incidents.
    • Proficiency in creating and fine-tuning DLP policies.
    • Certifications: CEH, CISSP, or vendor-specific DLP certifications (e.g., Forcepoint, Symantec).

    Data Security Engineer

    The Data Security Engineer is responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing security technologies and measures to protect sensitive data within the organization. This role involves collaborating with the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) team to deploy, configure, and maintain security solutions that align with the organization’s data protection objectives and regulatory requirements.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Security Technology Implementation:

    • Deploy and manage security technologies supporting DLP and data classification initiatives.
    • Configure and maintain encryption, access controls, and other security measures. 

    System Integration:

    • Collaborate with the DLP and Data Classification teams to ensure seamless integration of security solutions with existing IT infrastructure.
    • Integrate DLP solutions with security systems such as SIEM, email security, and other endpoint protection tools.

    Security Assessment and Audits:

    • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify risks.
    • Provide recommendations to mitigate security gaps and ensure compliance with industry standards.

    Incident Response and Monitoring:

    • Monitor data security systems for potential breaches or anomalies.
    • Investigate security incidents and collaborate with stakeholders to implement corrective actions.

    Technical Support and Maintenance:

    • Provide technical support for DLP and data classification initiatives.
    • Ensure up-to-date security technologies are configured to prevent unauthorized data access or leakage.

    Collaboration and Documentation:

    • Work closely with stakeholders to align security measures with organizational goals.
    • Document security configurations, processes, and procedures for knowledge transfer and audit.

    The Data Governance Specialist will ensure the organization’s data governance framework is effectively implemented and maintained. This individual will collaborate with data owners, IT teams, and other stakeholders to uphold data governance standards, support data classification efforts, and enhance data protection practices, particularly in alignment with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) initiatives.

    • Knowledge of data classification practices and Data Leakage Prevention (DLP) technologies. (e.g., Symantec, Forcepoint, Digital Guardian).
    • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in developing and delivering training programs.
