The ideal candidate should have a Diploma in Nursing (KRN/M or KRCHN) or BSc Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing. S/he should have current licensure with the Kenya Nursing Council and a minimum of 2 years’ continuous clinical experience from a recognized health institution. S/he should be BLS certified, applicants for Paediatric casualty should be EPLS certified.
Reporting to respective unit Nurse Manager, the Clinical Nurse will be responsible in promoting and maintaining high standards of professional nursing care to meet the needs of patients and their families. S/he will participate actively in decision making related to patient care and will ensure patient’s safety, dignity and respect are maintained at all times.
Reporting to the ICU Nursing Manager, the Clinical Practice Educator will be responsible for delivery of safe and quality patient care through evidence based clinical practice and nurses’ professional growth and development.
Applicant must be a Registered Nurse with current licensure with the Kenya Nursing Council. They must have BScN, ACLS certification. S/he should be proficient in Microsoft Office packages. The successful candidate should have a minimum of five (5) years nursing experience in the Critical Care Department in an acute care Hospital.
Applicants must have a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and be registered with the Kenya Medical Dental and Practitioner Board. S/he should have at least two (2) years relevant practice including experience in composites, root canal therapy, crowns and bridges as well as one year internship from a reputable Institution. The successful candidate should have excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.
Carry out emergency dental procedures as well as attend to non-emergency procedures; Counsel patients on oral hygiene instruction and demonstrate techniques to achieve this; Liaise with Consultants on handling specialized cases in the provision of patient dental health care; Review and develop appropriate policies and procedures for patient care to formulate best practice guidelines
