    Technical Project Management

    About the Position

    • We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our qualified, impact-focused team to support an exciting Health Information Systems project being implemented across several countries in Africa. This position will report to the Senior Programs Manager and work in conjunction with the Department Heads and overall team

    Roles & responsibilities

    • The Technical Project Manager is primarily responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of assigned projects. Taking responsibility for the management of all phases of the ICL project management process and the allocated project resources to drive project success by ensuring project goals are achieved within budget, scope and time  to the required quality standard.

    This will entail the following:

    • Maintain and monitor project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
    • Responsible for tracking milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.
    • Organize, attend, and participate in stakeholder meetings. This may include travel as required. 
    • Ensure timely, accurate, clear, concise, coherent and professional communication is maintained internally and externally with the client
    • Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
    • Monitor and report on project metrics, including cost, effort, and scope. Accurately reporting on all work activity, through periodic and on-demand narrative reporting on project progress.
    • Review and ensure the following are completed within project timelines: test plans, test cases, test scripts, approve functional testing, working with end-users and functional staff.
    • Coordinate integration testing, troubleshooting, user acceptance testing, and training.
    • Coordinating with the Software Engineers, Business Analysts, and other project stakeholders to review and ensure proper testing, troubleshooting, training and documentation are completed within project timelines.
    • Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality reviews, and escalating functional, quality, and timeline issues appropriately.
    • Early identification of challenges and blockers, identifying remedial action and escalating where required to address problems, and keeping project progress on track.
    • Ensure timely client invoicing according to the project work plan and contract.
    • Coordinate communication with all areas of the enterprise that impact the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed.
    • Manage multiple projects running concurrently and work with a cross-functional team.

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of two years of relevant IT Project Management and Health sector experience is preferred.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills along with strong facilitation and presentation skills
    • Should have strong PC skills
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
    • Able to work effectively under pressure
    • Flexible and able to multitask on several different aspects of a project or on multiple projects
    • Able to produce quality work with strict deadlines
    • B.S. degree in IT, Computer science, Project Management, or equivalent work experience and professional training in project management such as with the Project Management Professional (PMP) will be an added advantage.

    Business Analyst Associate

    About the Position

    • We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst Associate to join our qualified, impact-focused team to support an exciting Health Information Systems projects being implemented across several countries in Africa. This position will report to the Senior Programs Manager and work in conjunction with the Department Heads and overall team.

    Roles & responsibilities

    • The Business Analyst Associate will be responsible for facilitating the translation of business needs into practical digital health solutions through effective requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and documentation.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Gather, organize, and analyze data to understand business and user requirements.
    • Engage stakeholders, project teams, and end-users to prioritize requirements and co-develop viable solutions that support business objectives.
    • Manage requirements throughout the development lifecycle and collaborate closely with Project Managers, Developers, Designers, QA teams, and Implementers.
    • Identify issues, risks, and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and assess their impact.
    • Ensure clear and timely communication with project teams and stakeholders to align expectations and foster collaboration.
    • Ensure all projects meet business and user needs and adhere to internal frameworks and policies.
    • Develop and maintain documentation such as business requirements documents (BRDs), solution specifications, user guides, traceability matrices, etc.
    • Support project planning and coordination efforts with Project Leads and client teams.
    • Assist in the implementation, user acceptance testing, and rollout of solutions.
    • Coordinate and maintain effective technical communication with clients and partners.
    • Contribute to business development through technical writing and proposal support when needed.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field.
    • At least 2 years of experience in a business analysis role, preferably within the health or IT sectors.
    • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in documentation and reporting tools.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
    • Experience working within agile or iterative development environments is an added advantage.
    • Knowledge of digital health systems and health sector workflows is a plus.

    Quality Assurance Engineer

    About the Position

    • We are looking for a highly experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our qualified, impact-focused team working on transformative Health Information Systems projects locally and internationally. This position will report to the Digital Health Engineering Lead and work collaboratively with Department Heads, Project Managers, and multidisciplinary teams.
    • The Quality Assurance Engineer will lead all QA-related activities across the organization and projects, including supervising and mentoring junior QA engineers and ensuring the design and implementation of high-quality test strategies. The role requires expertise in test automation, load testing, and security testing.

    Roles & responsibilities

    The  Quality Assurance Engineer will provide technical and strategic leadership in QA efforts across the software development lifecycle. Specific responsibilities include:

    • Coordinate and lead QA activities across projects.
    • Lead and mentor junior QA engineers, providing guidance and support.
    • Design, develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
    • Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
    • Identify, document, and track software defects and issues.
    • Collaborate closely with developers, project and product managers to ensure software quality.
    • Improve, develop or specify standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness.
    • Review quality specifications to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, and completeness.
    • Analyze software requirements and provide feedback on usability and functionality.
    • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies, driving innovation and streamlining overall testing processes while adapting to modern methods

    Qualifications

    A minimum of three years of relevant Quality Assurance and Health sector experience is preferred.

    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
    • Able to work effectively under pressure

    NB: Experience/solid knowledge of the Health Sector will be an added advantage
