    Junior Solutions Engineer

    Job Summary 

    The Junior Solutions Engineer supports the design and delivery of integrated electronic security solutions by assisting with site surveys, system designs, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), technical proposals, and tender submissions. Working closely with the Sales, Engineering, Procurement, and Project teams, the role helps develop practical and cost-effective solutions while building technical expertise in CCTV, Access Control, Fire Detection, Intruder Alarm, Networking, and other integrated security systems under the guidance of senior engineers. 

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Solution Design & Proposal Support 

    • Assist in designing integrated electronic security solutions based on client requirements and project specifications. 
    • Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs), equipment schedules, and technical documentation. 
    • Develop system layouts, mark-ups, and basic design drawings using AutoCAD and other design tools. 
    • Support the preparation of technical proposals, quotations, and tender responses. 
    • Ensure all proposals and technical documentation are accurate, complete, and submitted within agreed timelines. 

    Site Surveys & Technical Assessments 

    • Conduct site surveys to gather technical information required for solution design. 
    • Capture measurements, equipment locations, cable routes, photographs, and site conditions. 
    • Identify installation challenges and highlight potential project risks. 
    • Prepare site survey reports and recommendations for review where required. 

    Technical Sales Support 

    • Provide technical support to the Sales team during customer engagements. 
    • Assist with product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions. 
    • Help evaluate customer requirements and recommend suitable security solutions.
    • Support the preparation of compliance documents and technical responses for tenders and RFPs 

    Project Coordination

    • Research approved products, manufacturers, and technologies for different projects. 
    • Compare technical specifications, datasheets, and product compatibility. 
    • Recommend suitable equipment under the guidance of senior engineers. 
    • Keep up to date with new products and developments within the electronic security industry. 

    Product Research & Solution Development 

    • Research approved products, manufacturers, and technologies for different projects. 
    • Compare technical specifications, datasheets, and product compatibility. 
    • Recommend suitable equipment under the guidance of senior engineers. 
    • Keep up to date with new products and developments within the electronic security industry. 

    Documentation & Administration

    • Maintain accurate proposal documentation, project files, and technical records. 
    • Update CRM opportunities, client notes, and pipeline information. 
    • Organize technical documentation and ensure proper version control. 
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical documentation and departmental processes. 

    Minimum Requirements and Competencies 

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field. 
    • 1–3 years’ experience in technical pre-sales, electronic security systems, technical support, engineering, or a related field. Internship, industrial attachment, or graduate trainee experience in electronic security, engineering, or ICT will also be considered. 
    • Exposure to CCTV, Access Control, Fire Detection, Intruder Alarm, Networking, or other low-voltage systems is an advantage. 
    • Experience assisting with site surveys, preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), quotations, technical proposals, or tender documentation is desirable. 
    • Experience supporting customer meetings, developing technical solutions, or working alongside sales teams will be an added advantage. 
    • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and proposal preparation tools is desirable.

    Integrated Security Systems Intern

    Job Summary 

    The Integrated Security Systems Intern supports the Pre-Sales and Solutions team by assisting with the design and preparation of integrated electronic security solutions. The role involves participating in site surveys, preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), supporting technical proposals, researching products, and assisting with project handovers while gaining practical experience in integrated security systems.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Site Surveys 

    • Assist with site surveys to gather information required for solution design. 
    • Record measurements, equipment locations, cable routes, photographs, and site conditions. 
    • Document client requirements and highlight any installation challenges or risks. 
    • Prepare site survey notes and reports for review by senior team members. 

    Solution Design & Proposal Support 

    • Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and equipment schedules. 
    • Help prepare technical proposals and quotation information. 
    • Support the creation of basic system layouts and design documentation. 
    • Ensure technical documents are accurate, complete, and well organized.  

    ​​​​​​​Product Research 

    • Research approved products, manufacturers, and accessories for different projects. 
    • Review product datasheets and compare options based on project requirements. 
    • Assist with selecting suitable equipment under the guidance of senior engineers. 
    • Keep up to date with new products and technologies in the electronic security industry. 

    ​​​​​​​Project & Team Support

    • Work closely with the Sales, Design, Installation, Procurement, and Project teams throughout the pre-sales process. 
    • Help ensure project information is complete before handing it over to the implementation team. 
    • Assist with answering technical queries and gathering additional project information when needed. 
    • Attend internal meetings and site visits where required. 

    ​​​​​​​Learning & Development

    • Learn Securex products, solutions, and design standards. 
    • Build Knowledge of electronic security systems and basic networking. 
    • Develop skills in AutoCAD, Design software, spreadsheets, and other technical tools used by the team 
    • Participate in product training and other learning opportunities provided by the company. 

    ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Minimum Requirements and Competencies 

    • 0–2 years’ experience in a technical pre-sale, sales support, engineering, technical support, or electronic security systems environment. 
    • Internship, industrial attachment, or graduate trainee experience in engineering, electronic security, ICT, or a related technical field will be an added advantage. 
    • Exposure to CCTV, Access Control, Fire Detection, Intruder Alarm, Networking, or other low-voltage systems is desirable but not essential. 
    • Experience assisting with site surveys, preparing quotations or Bills of Quantities (BOQs), technical documentation, or proposal preparation will be an advantage. 
    • Any experience interacting with customers, understanding client requirements, or supporting sales teams in preparing technical solutions is beneficial. 
    • Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, is expected, while familiarity with AutoCAD, Visio, CRM systems, or other design and proposal tools will be an added advantage. 
    • Fresh graduates with a strong technical background, a willingness to learn, and an interest in technical sales are encouraged to apply.
