Job Description

Tabulation

• Use excel to make an SPSS syntax file
• Use SPSS syntax file to convert unusable data to usable data
• Process data using win cross software to produce interpretable research output which is used to provide insights to businesses
• Interpret the output to see that different sections make logical sense

Programming

• Create research program using provided platform
• Test the programs created above

Program Testing

•  The client has a programmer who creates the programs used in the research field. In some cases, we are tasked with testing whether the programs are working as intended using defined logic.

Qualifications

• Relevant Experience in SPSS,JavaScript, HTML
• Programming will be an added advantage. 
• Experience with responsive web design, including API and database creation
• Commercial and business awareness and experience
• Hands-on, and with strong execution skills
• Good written and communication skills and high attention to detail
• Passion for innovation, learning, and use of technology to change business
• Have the ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines

Job Description

• Manually check company investor relations website, daily frequency near quarterly earnings seasons, and weekly frequency during other times of the year and collate data in the required format. 
• Manually check unit pricing information for products listed on specified e-commerce sites on a weekly basis and collate data in the required format. 
• Manually retrieve HTML tags for defined product websites on a daily basis and share data in the required format. (reference use case Just Eat Greggs Scrape – 8801

Qualifications

• Financial /Accounting background
• Web Research experience is an added advantage
• Diploma / Certificate holder in any relevant field.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Fluent in written and verbal English.
• Typing test score 40 WPM to be achieved in typing skill test.
• The minimum score to be achieved in the Vendor reasoning/analytical test.
• Quick learner and able to decipher complex information.

Job Description

• Perform mostly translations in the client-owned translation tool
• Translate various types of content, including marketing, help and UI
• Master or learn the tools associated with translation work (e.g. tools for creating queries or checking the live UI elements)
• Precisely follow the established translation process, e.g. always raise queries when there is a need to
• Learn the style guide and overall client’s requirements, e.g. stylistic preferences
• Improve based on the corrections made by the senior team members as well as the client reviewers
• Keep track of personal error statistics and work on the weak spot
• Take part in the internal trainings and the ones organized by the client
• Participate in the error arbitration process
• Meet the productivity KPIs

Qualifications

• University degree preferably in Linguistics, Journalism or Mass Communication
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken, in a wide range of registers)
• Fluent in the local language of translation (with an understanding of what the conversational and easy-to-read is, plus excellent spelling and grammar of standard  Krio/Luganda /Lingala
• Passion for languages, specifically in English / Krio- kri t / Luganda (lg)/ Lingala (ln)
• Passion for the world of technology
• Passion for reading and writing in Hausa, creative writing, poetry
