The School is set in a rural, secluded, 50-acre site and is one of the leading International boarding schools in Kenya serving internationally minded families, from all over the world.

About the job
The Head of Junior School will also be the Head of Pastoral Care for the whole school. The Head of Junior School has responsibility for the management of the Junior School, including the Early Years School situated within the compound. He/She also plays a key role as part of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting to the Headmaster

Applicants must have experience in a Senior Leadership position, a Bachelor’s Degree in an academic subject, a teaching qualification and experience in teaching the British Curriculum. Experience of working in an I.A.P.S school would be an advantage.

Job Description
Primary school teachers develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives. They facilitate learning and pupils’ progress by establishing a positive relationship with pupils, and by their organization of learning resources and a stimulating classroom learning environment. They assess and record progress, they link pupils' knowledge to earlier learning and develop ways in which to encourage it further, and challenge and inspire pupils to help them deepen their knowledge and understanding.
