    Data Scientist

    Purpose

    • Reporting to the Senior Manager – Data Science & Analytics, the Data Scientist is responsible for advising the business on the potential of data, to provide new insights into the business’s mission, and by advanced statistical analysis, data mining, and data visualization techniques, to create solutions that enable enhanced business performance

    Responsibilities

    • Build econometric and statistical models for various problems inclusive of projections, classification, clustering, pattern analysis, sampling and simulations.
    • Build the foundation of state-of-the-art scientific and technical capabilities within the Data, Analytics & AI department to support several planned and ongoing data projects.
    • Provide forward-thinking recommendations to the business by building in-depth understanding of the problem domain and available business data assets, especially those pertaining to strategic initiatives and value-based programs
    • Execute ad-hoc data mining and exploration tasks on large datasets related to the business 'strategies.
    • Generate actionable insights applying advanced statistical techniques, for example, predictive statistical models, segmentation analysis, customer profiling, analysis, survey design, and data mining
    • Collaborate with senior data scientists to communicate obstacles and findings to relevant stakeholders to improve decision making and drive business performance.
    • Be an advocate for a continually improving way of working within the team to drive efficient and impactful engagement and accurate delivery of service.
    • 100% adherence to policies, procedures and statutory guidelines.
    • Participate in project execution to ensure that projects scope is understood, completed on time, to service delivery specifications.
    • Audit issues close within the quarter of identification, or within the agreed time frames, whichever is shorter.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Economics, or any other related quantitative field. Working experience of the equivalent is also acceptable for this position.
    • At least 2 years of working experience working with business analysis/informatics and business outcomes research within a fast-paced and complex business setting, preferably working as support data scientist.
    • Experience working in probability and statistics, time-series analysis, or econometrics as well as experience in the use of machine learning methods, for example, linear regression, decision tress, and so forth.
    • Experience as well as in-depth knowledge of the Python programming language, Cloud data science platform e.g. AWS sage maker and substantial knowledge of big data platforms.

    Assistant Accountant - Treasury

    Purpose

    • Processing of customer refunds and staff claims, updating of vendor bank accounts, raising receipts for customer payments and preparation of bank reconciliations whilst ensuring adherence to agreed SLAs and internal controls.

    Responsibilities

    • Processing of customer refunds on a timely basis ensuring accuracy and observing the control requirement.
    • Processing staff payments on a timely basis in compliance with agreed payments cycle and ensuring validity of requests before processing.
    • Prompt resolution of queries from internal and external customers.
    • Perform payment runs in CitiDirect and other company banking platforms to ensure timely vendor payments.
    • Setting up of Vendor bank account details in Oracle Financials in compliance with the controls set and ensuring perfection of documentation prior to the set up.
    • Executing the funding processes and cash management processes by sending out letters/communication to banks on transfer of funds as and when required with liaison with Outstation Accountants.
    • Preparing bank reconciliations and resolving reconciling items within set timelines.
    • Generate receipts for all collections to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records.

    Qualifications

    Data Engineer

    Purpose

    • Reporting to the Manager – Data Engineering, the Data Engineer is responsible for documenting data models, architecting distributed systems, creating reliable data pipelines, combining data sources, architecting data stores, and collaborating with the data science teams to build the right solutions for them.

    Responsibilities

    • Assisting in quality control of quantitative and qualitative research projects.
    • Designing, building and support data processing pipelines to transform data using Cloud technologies e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP etc.
    • Working with business analysts to understand business requirements and use cases.
    • Developing and executing quality assurance and test scripts.
    • Building survey and voter file data pipelines.
    • Designing, building data assets in cloud solutions and/or oracle ODI.
    • Designing and developing tools for internal team use to simplify complex task flows.

    • Some understanding of star schemas and data warehouse concepts.
    • Some knowledge of AWS/Azure tools and technologies Beneficial - ETL and ELT experience - both batch and microservices-led.

    Senior Manager - Facilities Management

    Purpose

    • The role holder will be responsible overall responsible for leading and executing the Facilities Management strategy for the airline. The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for Facility Operations, maintenance and space planning and vendor management.

    Responsibilities

    • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive facilities strategies aligned with organizational objectives, considering both short-term needs and long-term sustainability goals.
    • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of facilities professionals, including facility managers, maintenance staff, and administrative personnel.
    • Budget Management: Develop and manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness in areas such as maintenance, repairs, renovations, and energy consumption.
    • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and service providers oversee service delivery, and ensure high standards of workmanship. Enforce Service Level Agreements and apply penalties where performance doesn’t meet expectations.
    • Compliance and Safety: Ensure facilities comply with relevant regulations and safety standards. Develop and implement safety protocols and emergency response plans for the facilities and ensure all utility systems are inspected and in accordance with regulations. Prepare and file reports with government and regulatory authorities including environmental permits
    • Space Planning: Collaborate closely with various departments to plan and optimize space, while considering current and future needs.
    • Technology Integration: Explore and implement innovative technologies to enhance facility management processes, improve efficiency, and reduce environmental impact.
    • Sustainability: Implement sustainable practices in facility management, such as energy-efficient initiatives, waste reduction programs, and environmentally friendly procurement practices.

    Skills

    • Must possess solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems etc.
    • Must be conversant with the provision of the new Occupational Health and Safety Act.

    Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in business administration.
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction or property maintenance/property administration.
    • Certification in Project Management i.e. Prince 2/PMP.
    • At least 7 years’ experience in Facilities Management coupled with project management, Budget management, repairs & Maintenance in a corporate.
    • Must have experience/knowledge in contract administration, environmental and building regulatory laws as well as working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
    • Experience in Real Estate management is an added advantage.
