    Resident Physician

    JOB PURPOSE

    Responsible for the management Internal Medicine services in the Hospital that promotes patient safety, clinical quality, and contribute to the continuing professional development programs of the hospital.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide quality medical care within the Department of Medicine.
    • Provide specialized medical services and service delivery in the internal medicine unit of the hospital, ensuring that they meet the expected standards of quality, quantity, and compliance.
    • Work with other medical specialists to solve single or multiple medical issue (s) or support the performance of extensive surgery, when required in the hospital.
    • Order laboratory and radiology tests and refer patients to specialists when appropriate and called for.
    • Conduct specialized Outpatient clinics.
    • Collect, record and maintain updated records of patients’ medical history, reports, and examination results.
    • Inculcate teamwork and a multidisciplinary approach to patient management.
    • Adhere to departmental policies, procedures and objectives, ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
    • Drive growth and expansion of the scope of services within the department.
    • Support medical education as part of continuing professional development services within the department and the Institution.
    • Teaching and mentoring of junior Doctors.
    • Keep abreast of advancements and best practices by attending seminars and conferences and participation in continuous medical education.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS

    • M. Med in Internal Medicine from a recognized institution.
    • Must be registered/licensed by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
    • Specialist Recognition by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
    • At least Two (2) years of post-graduate work experience.

    Finance Accountant

    JOB PURPOSE

    Responsible for ensuring effective systems of internal accounting controls are maintained and developed to ensure reported financial information is accurate, adequately supported and in compliance with local laws and company policies.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses; Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
    • Ensure that records comply with laws and regulations.
    • Timely posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are up to date
    • Provide direction during Monthly stock takes and reconciliation of Variances
    • Follow up with the relevant team for variance explanation and clearance to ensure proper revenue reporting as well as strict adherence to the policies and producers.
    • Preparation of the annual Hospital budgets i.e. income-expenditure budget, capital expenditure budget, cash flow budget and balance sheet.
    • Updating accounts payable and performing reconciliations
    • Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
    • Verification of all payment vouchers to ensure accuracy and adherence to internal controls.
    • Ensure supplier/doctor payment queries and disputes are responded to and closed promptly.
    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of statutory payments to avoid penalties.
    • Ensuring daily monitoring of Cash and Cash equivalent accounts and weekly and monthly reconciliation.
    • Maintain and manage hospital’s main petty cash float.
    • Carry out random petty cash counts on all petty cash points.
    • Analysis and review of General ledger and sub-ledger accounts and journals to ensure data integrity in financial reporting
    • Preparation and presentation of the management reports to the various divisional, departmental and sectional heads monthly
    • Monitor actual performance against operating budget and provide variance explanations, and recommend specific actions
    • Provide supporting schedules, analysis, and explanations to the support accounts in the TB during external and regulatory audits and preparation of the financial statements

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounts
    • CPA (K) and or ACCA
    • Member of a professional body e.g. CPA (K), ISACA and ICPAK will be an added advantage.
    • Knowledge of accounting and reporting standards
    • Should be familiar with costings, taxation, and cost analysis.
    • Advanced excel skills are a must
    • Hand on Knowledge of month-end and year-end closing procedures
    • Should be hands-on with a financial system & iTax.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience, preferably in healthcare would be desirable
    • Able to work under minimum supervision.

    Senior Inventory Officer

    JOB PURPOSE

    Responsible for ensuring proper management of the Hospital’s inventory/ stock items starting from receiving to dispatch. Maintains and updates the stock records, responsible for conducting physical stock counts, performing regular stock reconciliations and overall monitoring of stock transactions.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for maintaining accurate stock listings
    • Facilitate and participate in weekly, monthly and annual stock counts
    • Perform monthly stock reconciliations of physical counts against the system for all categories of inventory and highlight variances to the management
    • Report shortfalls and surplus inventory, weekly and monthly for replenishment
    • Assist in developing and implementing inventory policies and procedures.
    • Ensure that goods received are matched with the actual invoices from the suppliers
    • Reconcile stock deliveries with purchase orders and or agreed contract terms, and raise non-conformity reports where applicable
    • Coordinate with the procurement team to implement and ensure a control system to reduce damage, breakage and inventory obsolescence
    • Support accurate and timely financial reporting by ensuring all stock data is updated correctly
    • Manage the monthly financial close process for all categories of stock.
    • Ensure proper records and classification in terms of cost and quantity of all inventory items.
    • Ensure stock ledger entries are properly coded and classified
    • Carry out spot checks on stock balances in the hospital against the system records to capture any anomalies

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS

    • Degree in Procurement or related field
    • CPA is an added advantage
    • Advance excel skills a must
    • At least 2 years experience in inventory management and reconciliations
    • Able to work under minimum supervision.
