    Tutorial Fellow - Data Science

    Duties and responsibilities

    • To teach in areas allocated by the Head of Department.
    • Designing, developing, planning and delivering a range of programmes of study, sometimes for entirely new courses at various levels.
    • Delivering high-quality lectures and practicals.
    • Reviewing course content and materials on a regular basis, updating when required.
    • Collaborating with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes and the development of research activities.
    • Carrying out research and writing research grant proposals.
    • Seeking and participating in consultancies.
    • Presenting research papers at national or international conferences and other similar events.
    • Dissemination of research outputs.
    • Providing mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.

    qualification and experience

    • Master of Science in Data Science or Master of Science in Data Science and Data Analytics; Bachelor of Science in Data Science/Computer Science/IT  or any other related field from a recognised/accredited University. 
    • Registered for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral degree qualification and progressing.  
    • Be registered or registrable with relevant professional body (where applicable)  
    • At least three (3) years of post-qualification work experience.  
    • Demonstrated university-level teaching experience and research.

    • At least three (3) years of post-qualification work experience 
    • A valid practising licence from the Nursing Council of Kenya - NCK.

    Post Graduate Program Coordinator - Information Communication Technology

    Job Objective

    • The Postgraduate Coordinator is responsible for coordinating postgraduate academic programmes and supporting postgraduate students throughout their studies. The role ensures effective programme administration, adherence to University policies, and the maintenance of high academic and research standards.

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Coordinate the admission, registration, orientation, and progression of postgraduate students.
    • Advise and support postgraduate students on academic matters, programme requirements, and institutional regulations.
    • Coordinate the allocation and approval of supervisors and monitor the progress of postgraduate research.
    • Ensure postgraduate research proposals, theses, and dissertations comply with institutional guidelines and quality standards.

    qualification and experience

    • A Bachelors  & Masters degree in Information Technology  or a related area from an accredited university. 
    • At least three years working experience in a similar role at a Private University.

    Laboratory Technician – Medical Laboratory

    Job Objective

    • To ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of laboratory facilities, provide technical support for teaching and research activities, and mentor and guide students in developing practical skills and understanding of laboratory protocols.

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Prepare and maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of laboratory procedures, experiments, and results.
    • Manage laboratory supplies and inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing reagents, chemicals, and other materials.
    • Ensuring that all laboratory activities comply with safety regulations and protocols
    • Regularly clean, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure it functions properly.
    • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment to conduct experiments and tests accurately.
    • Perform routine and specialised tests on samples, including chemical analyses, microbiological tests, and histological exams.
    • Prepare samples for testing by processing, preserving, and storing them according to standard procedures.
    • Ensure safety, cleanliness, order, and care of equipment and the laboratory spaces.
    • Assist the lecturers in marking and grading students’ practical work reports.
    • Prepare the laboratories and set up for students’ practical learning activities, instruct and supervise students as they carry out experiments.
    • Prepare manuals for laboratory use, practical lessons’ instructions and procedures, and review such manuals from time to time in line with curriculum reviews.
    • Prepare laboratory use rules and procedures for students, sensitise students and enforce adherence to the rules and procedures.

    qualification and experience

    • Proficient in relevant computer applications
    • Be a member of Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB) and have practising license.
    • At least three (3)  years of relevant experience in a similar role,
    • A Bachelor's Degree in Medical  Laboratory Technology or related qualifications from a recognised/accredited University in the relevant field.
