• Planning both short and long-term coverage topics about Africa
• Knowledgeable about African countries and their relations with the world
• Able to write interview summaries and plan for Question and Answer flows during interviews
• Good at research and sorting out valuable news from various sources or information, pre-interviews, and coordinating logistics for field production
• Responsible for locating and managing internal and external videos and assets

The new media reporter is responsible for producing engaging, SEO-friendly content and generating news-making and analytical content for CGTN Africa’s digital platforms. He/she will initiate news stories and cover both breaking and pre-planned news.

• Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
