JOB PURPOSE

• To conduct accurate and timely testing of patient samples to aid in the diagnosis of disease in compliance and harmony with the standard operating procedures and quality management system. The primary job purpose of a Histotechnologist is to prepare and process tissue samples for examination by pathologists.

Academic and professional qualifications

• Be in possession of at least KCE Division two (2), C+ or its equivalent. 
• Completion of three (3) years pre-service program for Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technologist/Master in Histotology or Hisopathology course in a recognized Institution and Work as Histotechnologist for at least (4-5) year.

Experience Required

• Prepare and process tissue samples for Histological/Cytological examination.
• Handle and Operate Tissue Processor.
• Embed tissue samples in paraffin wax, section using a microtome, stain and mount the slides.
• Prepare and stain cytology samples using different stains.
• Adhere to SOP and quality manuals as required.

JOB PURPOSE

• To ensure accurate dispensing, advise patients and clients on proper drugs use, supervise Pharmaceutical Assistants and ensure excellent customer service and efficiency in the Pharmacy.

Academic and professional qualifications 

• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technologist.
• Holder of valid practicing license.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a busy hospital pharmacy
