    Management Information System Officer

    REF: TNH/HRD/MISO/01/2021          

    Reporting to Management Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring various business information trends and provide relevant reports to facilitate decision making.

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop a clear trail between Kranium (the front office system) and Navision the financial system;
    • Activate Bank reconciliation module in Navision and train all users to ensure Bank reconciliation are done in Navision;
    • Map all transactions in Navision from initial source entry to the final accounts including cash flow;
    • Map at source exactly which account has been debited and which one has been credited;
    • Map all business units to exact Branch, Departments to allow granular levels filtering of business information;
    • Carry out income completeness test on a daily basis. Quick test marrying statistics to the revenue reported in Navision and flagging off any incompleteness;
    • Ensure each expense posting is passed through the branch and department filter to enable division and sectional reporting.
    • Enable development of a management dashboard in Navision for automatic generation of trends, graphs and outliers flagging;
    • Monitor various business information trends and provide reports to facilitate decision making;
    • Provide support in modelling of projects and financial appraisals of investments projects and new services to drive key investments decisions;
    • Identify, document and propose improved procedures to close identified gaps;
    • Generate periodic exception reports for implementing of automated internal controls;
    • Participate in alignment of the ERP to evolving business process in liaison with ICT;
    • Champion customer services excellence and continual improvement;
    • Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvements, and develop and implement solutions;
    • Participate in ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization strategies;
    • Stay up to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems;
    • Daily/Weekly/Monthly movement of signed off Revenue from HMIS to ERP system. (This will ensure no variance in financials between the HMIS and ERP);
    • Complete data movement from HMIS to ERP to guarantee inventory correctness, as well as debtors and banks;
    • Guide and advise on system based controls on the ERP; and
    • Any other responsibilities that may be assigned to the job holder by the supervisor from time to time.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science, Statistics or any other related field from a recognized institution.
    • IT savvy and proficient in accounting software applications preferably Navision Dynamics application.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in analytics

    Manager Radiology

    REF: TNH/HRD/MR/01/2021          

    Reporting to Head of Radiology the successful candidate will be responsible for managing production and delivery of efficient and quality radiology imaging services in line with established protocols and the Hospital’s patient care objectives.

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop, review and ensure adherence to radiography imaging protocols and standards in consultation with other clinical departments in order to ensure quality imaging services in the hospital;
    • Ensure delivery of patient centric radiology services in line with established protocols and in order to contribute to overall patience experience;
    • Ensure radiation safety standards are adhered to by patients, radiology staff and members of public during radiology procedures in line with the Radiation Act, 1985;
    • Ensure radiation emitting equipment have valid licenses and meet the quality assurance standards in line with the Radiation Protection Board guidelines;
    • Coordinate periodic maintenance of all radiology equipment in line with maintenance specifications and to ensure optimal operational efficiency of the equipment;
    • Monitor the radiation exposure of the radiology staff through monthly dose readings and yearly blood count in order to ensure radiation exposure in radiography remains within the recommended maximum limits as per the Atomic Agency guidelines;
    • Manage radiology inventory including inventory control and monthly stock takes in collaboration with the finance department to ensure optimal stock variance;
    • Identify professional development gaps and ensure implementation of appropriate professional development interventions for the radiography team in order to ensure the team has the right skills and exposure to best practices;
    • Keep abreast local and global best practices in radiology and make recommendations to the Head of Radiology on how these impact the hospital;
    • Manage implementation of all hospital approved quality management systems including ISO standards, environmental management system (EMS), occupational health and safety OH&S), and JCIA among others to ensure full compliance of the radiology department to the guidelines;
    • Prepare the radiology income and expenditure budget and monitor its implementation upon approval;
    • Identify, deploy and motivate the radiology imaging team including performance appraisal, identification of training needs, mentorship and coaching as well as leave and absence management in line with the hospital’s people agenda; and
    • Any other responsibilities that may be assigned to the job holder by the supervisor from time to time.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Radiography from a recognized institution.
    • Certificate in CT scan and MRI.
    • Must be registered with the Radiography Council of Kenya and hold a valid practicing licence.
    • Minimum of 8 years’ radiology imaging experience preferably in a hospital environment with 3 years at management level.

    Senior Registrars –Internal Medicine

    Reporting to Team Leader in Internal Medicine, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out clinical procedures and clinical management of in-patient and out-patient (applicable specialty area) patients in order to offer curative services in line with established protocols and the hospital’s patient care objectives.

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Carry out initial patient assessment, treatment, stabilization and referrals in line with the patients’ condition in order to achieve optimal patient care;

    Head of Engineering

    Reporting to Director Human Resources & Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and management oversight for the engineering department in order to ensure the hospital’s plant and facilities are in good working condition in line with established quality and safety standards.

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop creative and innovative strategies in engineering services in line with the Hospital’s overall strategy;
    • Translate the strategic aims of the unit into achievable plans, with established priorities and make periodic adjustments as required;
    • Keep abreast of local and global best practices in engineering service and make recommendations to the Director HR & Operations on how this impact the Hospital;
    • Demonstrate ownership of and communicate the Engineering Services strategic direction and objectives to all staff;
    • Develop policies and procedures for engineering services and provide guidance to management in the interpretation and implementation of these;
    • Continuously review and update and enhance the Hospital’s engineering services policy and procedures manual;

    • Make periodic visits to construction sites as deemed necessary;
    • Follow up the proper implementation of construction and maintenance or modification activities and submit progress report timely.
    • Ensure that proper records and documents are maintained for construction in progress and terminated contracts;
    • Plan, lead and monitor the performance of outsourced consultants and/or contractors.
    • Advise management in selection of appropriate locations/sites for construction of buildings.
    • Oversee the preparation of tenders for construction works and participate in the tender process for evaluation and selection of contractors/consultants/suppliers for construction and/or modification;
    • Oversee modification and new constructions to ensure that works are completed within budget and the expected standards;
    • Ensure that design works and contract documents for new works are prepared in accordance with laws, regulations, and standards prevailing in the industry and the Hospital;
    • In consultation with the Legal Department, ensure preparation of contract agreements for building construction, maintenance, modification and expansion works;
    • Monitor service level agreements (SLA) and report periodically;
    • Approve payments within the discretionary limits set by the Hospital;
    • Prepare the engineering budget and monitor its implementation upon approval;
    • Identify, deploy and motivate the engineering team including performance appraisal, identification of training needs, mentorship and coaching as well as leave and absence management in line with the hospital’s people agenda; and
    • Perform any other responsibilities that may be assigned to the job holder by the supervisor from time to time.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Master’s degree in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering or any other business related fields from a recognized institution.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering or any other related field form a recognized institution.
    • Must be registered with the Engineering Board of Kenya and hold a valid practicing license.
    • Minimum of 10 years’ mechanical/electrical engineering experience with 5 years at management level.

    Chief Pathologist

    Reporting to the Deputy Director Medical Services the successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and management oversight in the pathology department and ensure delivery of quality and timely pathology services to patients in line with established protocols and the Hospital’s patient care objectives.

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop, review and ensure compliance to pathology protocols and standards in consultation with other clinical departments in order to ensure quality pathology service delivery in the hospital;
    • Ensure delivery of patient centric pathology services in line with established protocols and in order to contribute to overall patience experience;
    • Review and develop strategies for early and effective response to the patients presented to pathology department;
    • Coordinate medical training including Continuous Medical Education programs for the clinical staff at pathology department;
    • Bear overall responsibility pathology clinical staff, supervise and mentor the pathologists in the management, stabilization and treatment of all patients;
    • Champion the definition of processes, policies and procedures for the pathology operations in line with the Hospital’s objectives and standards;
    • Continually review and assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the clinical services in pathology and identify improvement opportunities;
    • Keep abreast of local and global best practices, identify key learnings for the pathology operations and proffer recommendations to the Director, Medical Services;

    • Provide clinical support during emergencies including resuscitation, admission, discharge or referral to the appropriate consultants and units;

    • Prepare the department budget and monitor its implementation upon approval;

    • Master of Medicine degree in Clinical Pathology from a recognized institution.
