What will you be doing?

• Operate and maintain the plant during the shift according to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain plant power production at the output designated by management. 
• To operate plant within the acceptable loading envelope under plant dispatch directives from utility.
• Assist in start-up, shut-down and normal operations of the power plant systems.
• Complete and maintain all logs and running records in a clear and concise manner according to guidelines.
• Responsible for taking corrective action during system operational disturbance and/or bringing such disturbances to the attention of the Shift Supervisor.
• Effectively communicate the condition of the plant equipment and performance to shift charge and fellow plant personnel.
• Responsible for maintaining the plant in a clean and safe condition at all times.
• Perform emergency procedures in order to protect personnel and equipment in case of damage or failure of safety deficiencies.
• Utilize all tools, equipment, and accessories in such a manner so as to maximize useful operating life.
• Assist in ensuring safe and efficient operation of the plant by bringing violations of colleagues to the attention of the Shift Supervisor or duty manager.
• Provide the relieving shift operator with a complete handover, bringing to his attention any operational disturbances, malfunctions or abnormalities.
• To perform planned and corrective maintenance as directed and as needed and to account for all parts and materials, supplies and fluids used in the performance of that work.

Development Responsibilities:

• Give recommendations on plant continuous improvement plan. - Give recommendations to changes in OpEXS (Quality, safety, and environment).
• Give recommendations to changes in plant standard operation procedures. Authorities:
• Authorised to operate plant equipment as defined by the operation procedures.
• Delegated other authorities by the shift supervisor as one performs his duties.

• B.Sc in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or equivalent educational background.
• Minimum one year experience in operation or maintenance of a Power Plant.

Main Responsibilities:

• Performing maintenance and repair jobs in relation to other products of Wärtsilä corporation.
• Fulfil tasks given by the Field Service Team Leader.
• Use & maintain workshop & field tools in accordance with good mechanical-work practices.
• Prepare & submit parts requisitions as required.
• Maintain current individual timesheets & expense records to support the timely invoicing of jobs to customers.
• To maintain a professional appearance & conduct
• To maintain the quality & efficiency of mechanical work performed (as measured by warranty costs), & in accordance with manufacturers specifications & ISO procedures
• Accurate & timely care of Wärtsilä specialty tools (field & workshop) used to perform service work.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with job performance through positive interactions with customers.
• Confirm with & abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures & instructions.
• Conform to all safety rules & use all appropriate safety equipment.
• Adopt a pleasant, adaptable attitude to assist Company staff with any "ad-hoc" duties that may be required.
• Submit accurate and high-quality service work reports within 48 hours of returning home from assigned jobs.

• Qualification / Technical certificate in Engineering (Marine/Energy/Engine) relevant to the industry and position.
