Purpose of the Job:
Contribute to the scholarship and intellectual life of the university by teaching, conducting research and mentoring students in line with the University guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Earned PhD in Nursing from an accredited University
- Masters in medical and Surgical Nursing, Nursing Education and Leadership, Community Health Nursing (or Advanced Practice Community Health Nursing) in addition to
- BSc Nursing from an accredited university
Possess a minimum of thirty-two (32) publications.
- Twenty-four (24) of which must be from refereed journals points as a Senior Lecturer, with at least 32 referred scholarly journals.
- Valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya
Required Experience:
- A minimum of five (5) years post-PhD experience in teaching at university level or in research/industry
- Evidence of having supervised at least three (3) postgraduate students to completion since last promotion.
- Skills Lab Management experience
- Evidence of engagement in continuing research.
- Strong commitment to mentoring students and faculty in research methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
- Evidence of impactful research output.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
- Evaluating students through continuous assessments and examinations.
- Mentoring of students in academic and spiritual nurture
- Supervise graduate students in their research projects and dissertations

The purpose of the job

Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
- MSc degree in Nursing is an added advantage)
- Three (3) years Clinical experience since graduation.
- Additional training or certification in the relevant area will be an added advantage.
- Valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya
Working Conditions:
